How do you post images in the photo gallery?

I'm doing a trip report and I'd like to put in photos. But when I go into the Photo Gallery, I don't see an option to post an image.

I post images on scrapbooking websites all the time. So I know, in theory, how to do it. I just can't seem to even find the option to do it here.

I even found a helpful thread that shows how use the

to insert the image in my thread. But I still need to post to the gallery to have the link.
