How do you play the mini dvr tapes?

I got a new camcorder - Canon and it has the mini vcr looking tapes, how do I play these? I thought it was the mini dvd's but no.

If you are referring to the MiniDV tape format, you have to use the camcorder to playback. You connect the camcorder to your TV via the included cable. It's pretty simple - just check the camcorder manual.

At some point, you may want to convert the video from tape to DVD. It's a little more involved, but the advantages of DVD are worth the effort.

If you want to transfer the tapes to DVDs, you should probably use a computer. You'll need a firewire cable and port on your computer as well as some software for making the DVD.
