Ok..I wanna know what the trick is to getting through WD dining to make a PS at CRT. I have been trying like crazy to get into that castle and have yet to make it in there. Here is what happended.....

We are surprising the kids with a Christmas trip to Disney. They have no idea. My daughter will be 4 on Dec 30th so I thought it would be really awesome if I could get a PS for breakfast for that day. I tried calling 10 minutes before 7 LOL and kept getting the recording they were closed blah blah blah. I kept hitting redial and finally at 7am on the dot..I got through but was put on hold for 20 minutes!! Needless to say CRT was already booked! :( I know we are going during a busy time of year and a lot are calling to make plans but good GRIEF I thought that if I started calling like I did, I would have a better chance. There must have been a million people hitting that redial button right along with me. Anyways, I did book the princess breakfast over at Epcot. We haven't eaten there either. I'm sure we will have a happy time with our daughter since there are still princesses there. It's just being in the castle for her b-day is what we really wanted for her. What a b-day surprise that would have been for her KWIM?

I know people cancel but like I said, I haven't even had luck getting somebody's cancelation LOL! We are going again next summer so I'll keep trying.

we usually have multiple people calling dh and i on cells and 1 house phone...or have family or friends try with us...

Another tip for making sure you get the Castle.....don't be too particular about your days. I really wanted the castle for Thanksgiving morning for our upcoming trip, but started calling on the 90-day mark for the FIRST morning we would be at WDW. I was lucky to get in that day, but kept calling on subsequent mornings so that I could get what would work out best for our schedule. When the day came to call for TG morning, no luck, but at least I had another ressie to fall back on and hadn't lost all the other days waiting and hoping for one particular day.

Take her to the castle for lunch...it is still a great experience for kids.

I agree - take her to the castle for lunch and enjoy the princess breakfast at Epcot. It still looks like a castle, just not as fairy-taleish and I personaly thought the interaction was better as was the food.

I know how it is when your heart is set on something for your child - but I honestly think she will have a fabulous time. After all, how many four year olds get to spend their birthdays at WDW eating with any princess???

You'll love it and so will she - trust me!!!

Thanks for all the advice and tips! I know we will still have a good time for our daughter's 4th b-day at the princess breakfast in Epcot. I almost did try calling for CRT on our first day there etc.. just in case we couldn't get the 30th...live and learn :D

Just wanted to say your daughter and I have the same birthday!

Do you remember Davy Jones and Mike Nesmith from the Monkees? Their birthday is Dec. 30, too!:D

I also have the same birthday.:) We will be celebrating in the MK in the Am then heading over to Epcot after lunch for the CP and dinner at San Angel Inn. Oh I'm only 41 years older then her. LOL

Have fun and don't forget to get her a birthday pin and if you are staying at the resorts her birthday call.

You can take your daughter into the lobby of the castle the fairy godmother is usually hanging around. She is so sweet!

We were there for my DD's 4th birthday last year (10.18.02) and we had breakfast with the Princesses in Epcot and dinner at CRT. It was an awesome and special day that we will all remember forever.

Enjoy!!!

CoolDisneyCat and Funhouse...how neat that you have the same b-day as my daughter. I have a friend who had her daughter on the 31st 2 years later..pretty close :D And yes...I know who Davy and Mike are but never knew they also shared the same b-day. Oh and SnowhiteRabbit...my son's b-day is October 19th another close b-day LOL!;) He will be :gulp: 14

That stinks that you can't get CRT for breakfast. Remember you are trying to get the most popular meal at WDW during the busiest timeof the year. I like the idea of trying for lunch. You might also like to try the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway in Epcot. Cindy's not there but Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Pocahontas, Esmeralda, and Mulan could be there they had 5 princesses there when we visited. We just did the princess breakfast in Epcot and really truely enjoyed it. I would still like to one day do the Cindy breakfast, but when you can't get it, the Princess Storybook one is just as magical and exciting. :-)

Yikes, I read threads like these and realize how lucky been. We went for the first time 4 years ago and it must not have been as popular then because I called about 50 days out in the middle of the day and got a ps for 12 people at 8:30 am on Christmas Eve morning.

Now this time I was able to call about 65 days out due to the 90-day change and actually had my choice of several times.

All I can say is don't give up!! I've read here that calling 48 hours before sometimes produces good results and occasionally people get seated as walk-ups especially if it's raining!!

Good luck!
