How do you pay for groceries?

I pay for everything with credit card & pay it off every month. I only use credit cards that give me something in return...Disney Visa, GM card or Toys-R-Us card.

Jel0511 - what kind of card is it that deposits money right into a college fund?? I'd really be interested in that one.

Mostly credit card so we can get points and/or miles. If I'm only getting a few things I'll pay cash.

Disney Visa, like all my purchases. And I record it in my checkbook. That way I'm not surprised when the bill comes, and I know I've got the $$ to pay it.

It's offered by Fidelity Investments, in conjuction with MBNA. You have to have a 529 College Savings Plan with Fidelity, and every quarter our rewards are deposited directly into DD's 529 account. You can only deposit the rewards into one account (stinks with two kids) but we figured out what our average bill is and adjusted our monthly contributions accordingly. DD gets less money from us while DS gets more, but it evens out with DD's account getting the quarterly contribution.

Edited to add:

Here is a link to the 529 plans at Fidelity and there is a link to learn more about the card.

Used to be exclusively debit card as I/we carry very little cash on us or have very little cash in the house.
Now we have gotten an air miles reward CC and EVERYTHING that can go on it, including doctor and dental visits will go on this card. Wondering how long it will take before the reward miles build up?

debit card usually

check if I don't have the debit card with

cash if it's just one item and that's assuming I actually have cash on me, which I rarely do

Debit card, but use it as a credit card, to get Mega Rewards points. :) Occasionally cash.

Credit Card-we get reward dollars (Disney Visa). And we pay it off every month, so we don't pay interest. :teeth:
