We download trivia apps and play games in line but that only lasts so long before one of us gets bored or our phones begin to die!! Sometimes we play ispy but again, it has a shelf life! What are your favorite ways to pass the time while waiting in Disney lines? :rolleyes1

people watching is always a fun time. we look for hidden mickeys. some of the lines have something that you can read so that helps out kill the time as well. also we will talk to the other people in line as well.

Looks like you are leaving in 3 days. If you make the rope drop for each park and hit the bigger attractions first you should rarely be waiting on lines. use fastpasses as well.

also when you are going there will be crowds but it will not be overly crowded you shouldnt be waiting on big lines (more than 20 to 30 minutes) at all. and if you are then you are not touring the park correctly. again make rope drops and use fastpasses.

Lines - who stands in lines?

Even though we go during a busy time of year (Pres. Week) we've been very fortunate as long as we follow our Touring Plans! No more than 15 minutes for any ride. We waited in a longer line for the Easter Bunny at the mall... an hour and 15 minutes! :headache: Although since I have younger kids a few of those "eyeball" puppets that fit onto your hand were enough to amuse them.

As others have said, go in with a good plan and you will not have to wait too much. Of course, there will always be SOME waits and in those instances...

:rolleyes1 Whistle while you wait. :rolleyes1

Look for Hidden Mickeys. Usually our lines are really short so not much time for people watching. We are early birds and hit rope drop most mornings!!!

We really don't stand in many lines. I won't wait more then 20-25 minutes for a ride, even during busy times.

We just talk to each other during that time.

Talk to each other?

I was thinking the same thing. How about a good conversation :)

I was kidding before about the lines thing, although really we were there over the week before Easter the supposed 2nd worst week of the year, and we never waited in a line. We waited for a show to start sometimes, but never waited in a line. And we did almost everything in all 4 parks in 7 days.

I like to say ridiculous things loud enough for others to hear with hopes that I will read about it later on the DIS boards.

So that's why there are so many delays in the lines moving.

"I'm thinking of a Disney character who...." then fill in the blank and the others try to guess.

Or quote a Disney movie and they try to guess who said it.

When we HAVE to stand in lines, I get on the internet on the Droid.

I start conversations with the folks around me. Sometimes they don't speak english, which is always fun. My favorite is to talk to the kids. I try to acknowledge any pins people are wearing.

My own kids--21 and 23 think I am nuts. One rainy night we got a sing along going while waiting for the halloween parade.

We don't usually stand in line for very long, either, but did last year to see Tiana and the Fairies. Luckily DD and DS were both young enough and old enough to fall for and participate in the "let's see who can stay the quietest the longest." The winner got a Mickey ice cream treat. Usually we play I Spy games or 20 questions, but on that particular day they were at each other's throats. Worked so well a couple other moms in line did the same with their kids. They only lasted about 15 minutes, but at least I got that!

We find our biggest waits to be before a parade or fireworks. If we do have to stand in a line the theming and hunting for Hidden Mickeys seem to occupy us. I have a small set of cards called Name-its which come on a ring. We usually team up and work on those. If the girls fight or get cranky I always tell them the consequence is math facts practice. (The teacher in me coming out ) Surprising how quickly the fussing stops!
