I have read that some people pack bottled water, but I would be worried the bottle would break open. Do you put them in another container?
There's really no need to buy disposable bottles of water...it's so wasteful and expensive.
A lot of folks don't like the taste of Florida water (myself included) so you can buy one of the Brita water bottles that have a filter in them and refill your bottle as needed at your resort, water fountain, or at counter service locations where you can ask for a free cup of water. If you don't want to carry a bottle around, all counter service locations will give you a free cup of ice water if you ask, and there are also water fountains located throughout the parks.
If you're really set on having individual bottles of water, many of the resort gift shops sell cases of water for about $6.50 (approximately) so there's no need to go through Amazon, Staples, etc to ship water to your resort.
No judgement here!! We usually put a bottle or two in the fridge the night before, and refill them at the parks. We don't pack a bottle for each person. Too heavy!! We share between us. There are plenty of water fountains or free ice water to refill them as often as we need. Enjoy your trip!!I suppose my thread title was misinterpreted as "please tell me your thoughts on bottled waters and how they destroy our plant". Sorry for not being clear.
I am going to be there half the time in August alone with my dd. I have to carry my things and most of hers and quite frankly do not feel like adding water bottles to my already large camel pack. Thanks for the suggestion and your judgement. I use a reusable water bottle every day at home. I am not interested in bringing one with me. I apologize to the planet for the three days we will be using them.
