I'm trying to get my SB stuff organized, but I'm not sure I want a SB tote. Do you have any suggestions? Plus, if anyone has a SB room, I would love to see pictures. I just really need to get organized and can use any help you can offer!

Thanks,
Kristin

I seemed to have my SB stuff floating around all over the house. So for my birthday last month I had DH get me the Crop in Style XXL (read: I bought and told DH it was from him.) It holds just about everything and now it's all in one place. And best of all, I can roll it to whichever room I find myself scrapping in then roll it away when I'm done.

I like to go so scrap meetings and me friends so I ned to be able to travel!
I have the crop in style bag that I love, as well as a sticker binder (that fits into the bag),then I use one of the Disney World nylon bags that I bought on our trip for all my miscellaneous stuff (punches, scissors, all grouped in seperate zip lock bags!)
For paper I have plastic colored folders 2 8X10 and 2 12X12 solid papers in one and patterend in the other -
and for all those larger scrap peices you hate to throw away I use an accorian style folder with the tabs stating the color so it is easy to find the right color when I just need a small peice for journaling, etc!

Pictures of my scrapping/crafting area can be found in my signature link.

I only scrap at home, so I don't have a tote.

I have just recently moved house, and my husband decorated an extension to one of the garages for me as our office because we run our business from home - I managed to convince him that I needed one half of it for my Scrapping Area - and bless his heart he did this for me :D :D :D

Janice, that photo of David Beckham (it is him, isn't it?) must provide TONS of inspiration!!;)

The sticker binder is the best! I thought I wouldn't use it but my scrapping buddy got me one for Christmas last year and it's been great-- I don't have to go diggin through a box to find just one sticker.

I bought a tote a couple of years ago that I never use-- it's just too cumbersome, and at home I don't want to have everything packed up as such. I bought a plastic drawer cabinet-thingy at Costco that rolls in and out of the closet and has plenty of room for all my goodies.

LOL - yep that's David! And yep, he inspires me! He comes from very near to where I lived so I keep the calendar as a reminder to my daughter who is a professional actress (just starting out) that ordinary folk from ordinary backgrounds can achieve their dreams. :D :D :D

(and even though I am way old enough to be his mother, I do think he is kinda cute!)

Spahmnt & Janice -
I Am SOOOOO Jealous!

If I had areas like that i would not leave home to scrap!

I have a computer desk and a family herloim 'roll - top desk' (junk collector) in my bedroom already (me bedroom is 20x20ish thank goodness!

we have been shopping for another new house for a year (we have 3 multifamilies and are ready for a single family) and everyone I look at I think hmmm. Masterbed, Girls bed, Boys bed, Playroom, SCRAP ROOM!

OH all the pages I would have done if I had those great spaces!

SplahMnt you are very crafty at hiding things - I like it!

We (my Son and I) keep most of our supplies in the Crop and Style XXL. We also have three paper keeps...and a milk crate where I put the extras.

We primarily crop at the store...it is easier for us. More room, and everything we need! If we don't have the right paper we just go buy more (lol).

I have the paper keepers separated by categories. First...a slot for each color solid...in both sizes. Then like DIsney, Florida, California, Hockey, Beach, Cats. Whatever our interest our.

I keep all our stickers and die cuts in acid free bags, right with the paper of the same category. Then if I am working on Baby pages I pull out that paper and that bag. I keep the solids ready to match up!

We were taking everything out the bags, and putting it back in for crops, but find this works easier and faster. The only thing that takes time now is restocking the papers from the extras...and that isn't so bad...I usually do it while cooking breakfast.

Hope that helps! I can't wait for tomorrow crop...I hope it doesn't snow too badly!

Here's a link to pictures of my scrappin' room. I also only scrap at home and I just love having my own room just for scrapping! I know that I am lucky, since some SB'ers only have a table or small corner to do all their creative thinking :)

Ok you all have inspired me!

I have now moved around my bedroom and made a spot right under the double windows where I put my filing cabinet and plastic storage bins (same hieght) and My DH cut a peice of plywood (77"X24") which I am covering in material then putting a peice of glass on top of that!
I have 'extra' curtains to make a tailored 'skirt' to hide the cabinets and make more storage!
I can't wait for the glass to be ready!
Where did you all get the great 12X12 paper stackers?

PattyT, I think the 12x12 paper stackers are actually wire cubes you can buy at Target or Costcos (so I've been told). I got mine at Target. You build some and use the extra wire grids (usually used to make a few more cubes) to make the shelves. Use zip ties to attach them to the inside of the cubes. I tried it and it worked. I hope that helps!

By the way, thank you everyone for your links, pictures, ideas, and all the help. I look forward to anything else you all can offer! I am trying to get organzied! Thanks!

Happy Holidays
Kristin
