How do you organize your paper?

You guys are so organized, you make me want to go down to my room right now and clean it out and organize it. I have a room (that I share with my treadmill also) but I don't have any storage shelves. I keep my cardstock in a large plastic bin sorted by color, and my patterned paper is all over the place. I have a seperate plastic bin for my kits that have no particular theme (but I keep the kits together) and then a seperate bin for themed kits (holidays, beach, etc...) and then I have my CM stuff in a seperate place. All of my paper that isn't in a kit goes seperated by color. It doesn't really work for me, I spend a lot of time looking around, but I don't want to buy new storage stuff until I figure out how I want to organize it.

Does anyone have that book "The Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker" ? I've been looking for it but unable to find it.

ohMom (Molli) my DD/Mod on WISH was sorting scraps by color and and storing in gal storage bags. I took that idea and luv it! I just go for the main color of paper and it goes in that color bag. I place all bags into a container and it just makes it so quick and easy to grab a bag for either using or placing scraps into!

I store embelishments by color ROY G BLIV black metal (each in separate drawer - floor drawer storage/on rollers) so easy to grab a drawer of color I need and put close to hand when using.

I bought 2 of the 5 shelf jetmax organizers from ACM. I organized cardstock R,O,Y,G,B,P and then used the remaining for whites/creams/tans/gold, black/gray/silver, vellum and the last one holds my cutting mats and scrap cardboard for glueing.

I also bought the 3 shelf, 2 bin organizer and I use that for paper stacks. I like keeping the entire stack together as they are coordinated.

My scraps I keep in a 13 pocket folio organized the same way.

My craft room is pretty well organized because I cannot stand to have stuff "out" so everything has a "home" I know this does not work for everyone, but it works great for me! I don't worry about mixing paper lines, but I can see how that would be another storage issue if you don't want to mix it up.
