How do you mark your stroller?

We'll be taking DD7months on her first trip to WDW soon and I'm looking for suggestions on how to mark our stroller 1) so we can find it more easily in a crowd of other strollers, and 2) to lessen the chance of it being stollen. We've got a Mac Quest. Any ideas?

We tied two ribbons on the handle (just as we did our luggage)...Made it easy to spot but probably did not deter anyone from taking it...

We got a piece of fabric at Joanna's from their really cheap area (where they have left over pieces of fabric for 50%+ off). It was scarf length and light so we tied it to the handle of the stroller to help spot it, I've heard bandannas work well too. We also used a fabric pen to write our last name and cell phone on the stroller in an obvious and non-obvious spot, just in case.

We used different colored electrical tape and made "racing stripes" on the handles, from tray area and legs so we could see it from multiple angles and it couldn't be easily removed.

Our stroller was moved almost every time we parked it, and I must have seen 4 or 5 identical models a day, so the tape really helped!

I was thinking of laminating a brightly colored piece of paper with some sort of graphic on it that would only mean something to us. We would then hole-punch it and tie it to the stroller using zipties.

bright colored ribbon or tape on the handles. and also put your name and number where you know where it is but it is not visible. make it look different than it does now because there are alot of quest in stroller parking. I have seen where people have taken either iron on or sewn their names onto the seat or canopy of the stroller.

I bought the pink Jeep umbrella stroller which (for me) was a very difficult color to find and is rather bright pink so I'm hoping there won't be too many of those out there. That should help. I was thinking I'm going to get a bunch of LGM and have them laminated and hang those off various parts of the stroller. I also think I'm going to get mickey decals for each of the wheels. If all else fails, I'll just HAVE go get a mickey head balloon.:cutie:

That is exactly what we do too. Except we put our last name on the tag too.

Thanks for the great ideas everyone!

Is it better to have our name/phone number in a hidden spot or out in the open?

I used a bandanna-- ours was hot pink.

And, since it was August, I covered ours with a bright orange poncho each time we left it. It was incredibly easy to find, and always nice and dry in the summer rain!

I took much advice from the board for our stroller. I put return address labels (mickey ones, naturally) on the side and one on the bottom out of sight. I used iron on letters to spell our last name on our Buggy Buddy cupholder. I also bought an orange and gray Maclaren - only saw one or two during our entire week. And lastly put an orange bandana on the handle. I never had any trouble finding the stroller. Here's a picture ...

We put neon material around the handles and that was also nice for us to hang on to when it was hot!
Never ever had a problem at WDW spotting the stroller. We took it 3 times until sons grew out of it.
We also left cameras etc on stroller but would not do that now.

We made a large round sign out of the bag the sunshade folded down into and attached it with cable ties to the handles of our mac, it needed to be cut off to get it off. It doubled as a pocket to keep stuff in.

It was around 15inches diametre and we put "W****** Family" in HUGE bright pink letters on it and then we wrote our resort name (All star movies) and room number on it too, that way we figured if it got moved and we couldn't find it and was cleared by CMs at the end of the park day it'd get sent back to us or we'd get a call to collect it.

It made it easy to find- some of the stroller parks in busy areas (like outside philharmagic, outside buzz light year) had 50-100 strollers in when we went (august)

Our stroller DID get moved one night, every other time it got moved within the same stroller parking area and so we just looked there but coming out of the laugh floor it had been moved to a different stroller park (outside the back of the stitch ride) and it took us a long time to find it, if it would have been unmarked I may well have missed it and assumed it was stolen.

We have always put an unusual looking banadana on ours and that has worked. This time we have a racing checkered flag bandana. Our name is written in sharpie underneath. Our was moved several tiems, even once we had it parked in the correct area outide Buzz and they moved it ove to where the gift shop was behind Sticth. Needed a CM to help us find it that time, even with it labeled!

I cut a piece of white fabric about the same size as the canopy of the stroller. I wrote our last name on it with a sharpie, and wrote it really big. Then I hand stitched it to the canopy, that way I could easily remove it when we got home, but if someone tried to take it off it would require a bit of work. Whenever we parked the stroller, I would open the canopy so that we (and others) could easily read the name, and it was easy to spot it in the sea of strollers. It worked great!:thumbsup2

Not so much to identify it but to discourage anyone messing with it... and I read this suggestion on these boards almost 10 years ago:

Pour some apple juice (or something that kind of color) on a cloth diaper (I used a white diaper dust cloth from home) and place it in a relatively clear plastic bag. Tie the bag on the handle of the stroller. It resembles an unappealing soiled diaper and no one will want to touch your stroller no matter how fancy it is.

I had the top of our canopy embroidered with a cute nickname and also made a laminated tag with our last name on one side and cell numbers on the other and zip tied that to the stroller. There is a online company that does the canopy embroidery called carriage couture.
