Dh and I are spending 2 1/2 days next weekend at POR.We arrive very late Sat night and our flight leaves at 4:20pm on Tues.I really want to make those last few hours part of the vacation without using a park day.Possibly stay at the resort, relaxin at the pools or doing something else on property{except DD,we're not shoppers}What do you guys do?p.s.we are early risers. :listen: TIA

We usually will sleep in, relax at the pool, and head to DTD for some last minute shopping, strolling, etc.

We love to end our trip this way! It helps us "cope" a little with having to leave WDW! :sad2: Kind of helps with our separation anxiety...

We also sleep in eat a leisurely breakfast then hit dtd for stuff we've seen and have to have's you know things you thought about but decided against but at last minute decided oh I have to have it

Have a nice breakfast at Boatwrights, check out the gift shop for any last minute souvenirs, take time to stroll around the grounds and then jump in the hot tub before you go. :sunny:

We usually check out of our room at the Poly and stash our bags. We then head over to the GF and a nice lunch in the cafe. We then either take the monorail around one last time or take a nice leisurely stroll back to the Poly. Whatever we do it is always kind of depressing because we know we are leaving.

We would usually hang around the room a little longer, finish the packing up, etc.

Then we check out & head to one of the character meals out at one of the hotels. By the time we eat, see the characters, etc, a lot of time has passed. If we still have a little longer we would check out hte resort we were eating at. Then off to the airport.

We always go to a park on our last day.

With the new MYW passes, an extra day is only a few more dollars.

I always try to make our flight as late as possible, usually 6:30 pm or later. We get up and head to a park and do as many rides and attractions as we can. Then we always have a great sitdown meal (late lunch/early dinner) at a place like Kona Cafe or an Epcot sitdown place, then head to the airport. We also always get the very earliest flight out of Kansas City that we can to make our first day seem long also. On our upcoming May 26 trip, we are scheduled to arrive in Orlando @ 11:50am and leave Orlando @ 8:30 pm. :goodvibes

On our last trip we had a nice breakfast then went to look around at some of the other Disney resorts before leaving. We thought is was neat to start planning our next trip (at least where we may want to stay) before our current trip was over.

We usually catch a late afternoon or evening flight...get up, give our luggage to the resort to hold onto...and we spend the rest of our time in the Magic Kingdom until we have to be back for transportation to the airport.

We go miniature golfing and then head to DTD for a little shopping and a nice lunch. Then, off to the airport.

Have breakfast at the Cape May Cafe, and then head over to Fantasia Gardens and play mini-golf.

We get the LATEST flight out (this year it is 8:30 PM :goodvibes ) and go to the Magic Kingdom! We have lunch at the Crystal Palace. It has become a tradition for us!!!

Last time my dh and the 3 ds went to play mini golf. This time I have a character breakfast scheduled at the grand floridian. After that might have the ds rent a mouse boat or we can do a pontoon boat etc. I am usually exhausted since I do all the repacking. Last time I made everyone pitch in, but I do like to do most of it because of the airline weight limits etc.

If you have a car visit the nearby town of Celebration. It is a real place where people really live, but touched with much "pixie dust." This is also a great time to check out other resorts you might want to stay at,grab a bite, visit their gift shop, etc. A walk around the Boardwalk area and lunch at ESPN is also fun.

On our last trip we stayed at WL--we took the boat over to Fort Wilderness and let the kids ride the horses and go through the petting zoo, then we went for a nice lunch at the Kona Cafe at the Poly. Great way to end the trip!!

When we had a 1/2 day at POR, we ate a leisurely breakfast at the food court, and rented bicycles. We biked all around Riverside, and even ventured over to FQ. It was real fun, and we got to see the whole beautiful resort that way. You can also rent the water boats here if you prefer. They are lots of fun too.

We had time to jump in the pool for a quick cool-down after too!! Have a great trip!!

This year we will have breakfast at Cape May Cafe since we are staying at BCV, usually though, we hang around the hotel and start the drive home. Maybe if it's a nice day we'll go to the pool for awhile.
