I love these and have lots of ideas to make them, but I have no clue how. Any tips?

I don't know either, so I'm posting to subscribe to this thread. I'm anxious to see the instructions! I've seen a cursory description, but that just left me with more questions.

What kind of "transparency" gets used for the window? The only kind I know of is the acetate stuff used for overhead projectors. Is there a different kind for scrapping?

Where do you get double-sided foam tape? I've looked & looked, but haven't found any yet. :confused3

Can you use a piece of craft foam cut to shape for the "spacer"? If so, what kind of adhesive do you use to hold it together? Glue?

I'm going to try and find one of my links to DIY or HGTV for making shakers after work today. In the meantime....I like to use Fun Foam in mine. I cut out the shape with my Sizzix or Coluzzle and run it through my Xyron (510)twice (once on each side) I broke my 500 doing this, so I wouldn't recommend using the 500. I use sheet protectors, transparencies, overheads. If you are in the Everything Else swap, you'll be getting shakers made this way.

I've tried using double stick tape (I found mine at Michaels), too, but I wasn't good at getting the corners perfectly butted up to each other and had trouble with leaking.

I'll be back later with the link.

Hey! I wanna know how to do these too!

I had in my mind that I could use confetti to fill them with, so I bought a bag of the Christmas confetti at Big Lots (49 cents), and yesterday I found Easter confetti on the Dollar Spot at Target (3 pack/$1). DD's also got lots of those tiny seed beads, so if those will work, I guess I'm in good shape!

I think these are so cute---I can't wait to try to make some!

GREAT LINK!!! And I already have the sunflower die!!! Looks pretty easy!!! Thanks for posting this!!! :teeth:

Thanks for the instructions.

I bought mine off mousememories. Oh how I would love to have a mickey die for my sizzix... :cloud9:
