Do you mean like this... º ?

If so, press and hold down the ALT key and then press 1 6 7 on the number pad (not the numbers above the letters). Make sure NUM LOCK is on first.

Hope that helps. º signs make great little Mickey heads! ºOº :)

thanks....will try it....we did....is it suppose to be a square on the screen, but will it print as a degree sign??

Never heard of that little trick...

Is your DD doing the report in Microsoft Word? If so - under "Insert" at the top (you know, File, Edit, View, etc) there is a dropdown menu with "Symbol" listed. Click on that and it's in there.

I don't have a number pad on my laptop... I was going to try Word and check symbols, maybe it's there???

Not word...but she is doing it in word pad for some reason...that computer has some other program like word....called something else...which she didnt know, but is done with her report..

The thing above didn't work for us...I told her just to "draw" it in afterward

The font you are using will impact how it looks. Sometimes the º has a little - under it -- can't remember which font that is though.

You can do a copy/paste from the character map on your computer. You can probably find that under 'accessories' and then 'system tools'. I'm not sure but it may be the same symbol in just about any font. Courier New may be the font used in Word Pad.
