I love steak - and eat different cuts depending on my mood...feather steak and sirloin are two that I eat the most.

Medium Rare for me.

What is feather steak?

I usually buy rib-eyes for grilling.

I love sirloin, porterhouse and filet too.

I have heard of the term, but have never used it when ordering.

Blue - very lightly cooked, very bloody on the inside.

Blue rare or very rare - (37.8°C/100°F core temp) Cooked very quickly; the outside is seared, but the inside is usually cool and barely cooked. The steak will be red on the inside and barely warmed. Sometimes asked for as 'blood rare'. In the United States this is also sometimes referred to as 'Black and Blue' or 'Pittsburgh Rare'.

My aunt told this story and she does tend to tell a tall one or two.

She was sitting at a counter when a guy came in and ordered a steak rare. when asked how rare he said " just blow it's nose, wipe it's butt and drag it in by the horns." The waitress asks if he wants that with or without. He asks with or without what? The moo says the waitress.

I voted med to well done, but I like my sirloin steak or burger med well. That's what I always tell them. I really prefer well done, as I don't like any red (I know, why bother) but I don't like to tell them well done as I'm afraid they will just burn it.

Blue/rare is a cold center. I can't do that. I like mine dark reddish pink. Filet mignon is my favorite. Cooking a filet to well done ought to be illegal!
