I thought the special occation buttons were free??

To the OP - you can also note the occation on your hotel ressies and your dining ADRs. Please remember that Disney is under no obilgation to "do" anything for you and they may "do" something for one person and not another.

You could also special order a cake for one of your meals. There is a thread on special cakes in the restaurant forum if you search. Paying for the "magic" is the best way not to be disappointed.

These type pins are free at City Hall or Guest Services in each park! Enjoy and have fun.. wishing you lots of pixie dust.. and big dream team prizes!!! :wizard:

You can order lovely cakes, or baskets of flowers, fruit or wine.

We were just there for both our 12th wedding anniversary AND my younger DD's 4th birthday.... I had it noted on our YC reservations re: the 2 events... but nothing was done by the resort-not that I was "expecting" anything... but one could always wish.... :goodvibes

We made our DD's bday dinner for 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella, the Prince, Fairy Godmother, Suzy, and Perla... she had a magical time... the waitress was so attentive and when it came time for the bday "cake"... she made sure Cinderella accompanied her and had all the surrounding tables sing along :) :) :) Here's what I pre-ordered for my DD...

They then gave her a Happy Birthday Tiara (and one for my 6 yr old DD) and the signed placemat :)

She had such a big to-do made over her birthday button :goodvibes the whole day we were in the MK....

For our anniversary, I'd special ordered a cake and actual "forgot" I'd done it 6 months prior so it was kind of a neat "surprise" to come back to our YC room and find it sitting there :)

Hope you have a magical time there!!! We had our best vacation ever this time around!

Since there are so many people celebrating different occasions on a daily basis at WDW your best bet to make sure that you get the magic is to plan it yourself.
Have a gift basket made, your room decorated or whatever else you may want.
