how to get from park to park to resort to park to wherever using WDW transportation.

TIA,

Danielle

It's very easy, and you won't have any trouble at all. When you check into your resort, they will give you a transportation guide. That will tell you what the transportation is, whether it's bus, monorail, or boat, and also where the transportation is located. Each park also has designated spots for each mode of transportation as well. Have you decided which resort you will be staying at? This board will be happy to help you or check out a book on WDW planning-they are both full on info. on transportation. :goodvibes

The buses all have the destination written on them. Now if you are at any of the parks, there is a board that will indicate where the bus for your resort will be picking up.

It may seem confusing at first - and you can always ask the drivers. Most of them are very nice and will let answer any questions you may have. THe CMs too!

Have fun!

We are staying at Pop Century except for the one night that we win the castle stay (Oh please, please) unless the upgrade fairy moves us to say
AKL! Ha ha ha!

Thanks . . . the system does sound a little confusing.

I agree that the system sounds very confusing, but when dealing with the buses is very easy. The one time I didn't know how to get somewhere I just asked a transportation information booth and they, of course, knew how.

If you are unsure of anything just ask... there are usually cm's at each depot/ resort etc to help you out... but you shouldnt have a problem! :)

I think that the Pop is all buses. So you just wait at your nearest bus stop at the resort and look for the sign on the bus for wherever you want to go. Then, just notice where it lets you out at the park because that is usually where it picks you up.:goodvibes

There is a big bus guide in front of the stop with all the bus stops numbers and what resort/park goes with each stop at all the parks. It's very easy you just look at the list and then go to the number your resort/park bus will be and get in line for the bus!

Have you ever traveled by bus, especially local transportation in a big city? WDW is very similar. The front and side of the buses (above the windows) have marques indicating the destination of the buses. If you are catching it at your resort then they will all be heading to one of the parks, where they deposit you in front of the park at a well designated covered bus "station." When you leave the "station" loading areas are marked by resorts. If you are traveling from park to park, I think that there are some buses that transport you between parks.

Good Choice. :thumbsup2

Pop Century has it's own bus where the Allstar hotels (Sports, Music & Movies) have to share one bus. All bus stops get a bus every 20 minutes (most of the time).

Basically the bus stops at the resorts only go to the parks (also Downtown Disney) and the bus stops at the parks only go to resorts. If you want to take a bus from one park to another park you need to go to a resort first. If you are at your resort and want to go to another resort you need to go to a park first. There are notable exceptions because of the monorail at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT and EPCOT has buses to other parks. I won't even get into the transportation center because then you'll get into boats trams and ferries running all over the place.

The bus drivers are A1 for info on the best way to get from here to there. The main thing is to give yourself plenty of time. Figure at least 30 to 45 minutes per bus trip (waiting included).

Lets say You are at Typhoon Lagoon You have a 7PM reservation for dinner at EPCOT. Naturally you want to go to your resort to put clothes on & maybe shower too. If you need a good hour at the resort, If your standing at the bus stop at Typhoon lagoon at 4:30, get to your resort at 5:00, be back at your resort bus stop at 6:00 and get to EPCOT at 6:30. It is good to check in 15 to 20 min early.

If you are late for dinner, it does not matter because they will still seat you. Technically it's not a reservation but a courtesy hold. The diner shows are an exception because they are scheduled and want you there an hour ahead.

I imagine this didn't help much, just ask a cast member because they know everything or know someone who does. Give youself plenty of time.

Does anybody know, how long goes the bus from the POP to MK or Epcot?

The bus trip from Pop Century to Magic Kingdom takes about 15 minutes.
Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and MGM are a little closer so it's less time.

The exact time depends on the bus driver, traffic and which roads he/she takes.

Pop Century is 30 minutes from the airport (MCO)

At POP, when walking out of the main hall towards where the busses are, you will go out the doors and then to your right (go out the doors between the check-in desk on your left and the gift shop on your right). There will be a sidewalk and spaced along this sidewalk will be 5 or so individual bus stops. You'll see some chains set up to make lines. There will be signs at each stop saying where the busses will go.

Our experience was that the busses from POP to any park was under 20 minutes. I think maybe about 15 minutes would be average.

Yea, I think 20 is the maximum for any bus ride, most of them are 10 to 15.

Love using the Disney transpertation.

Hi, thanks for your answers! I feared the bus needs a longer time. 15 - 20 minutes thats okay!

I know the Disney Transportation from our trip to WDW in 1998, but we stayed on the Yacht Club. The transportation-times were relatively short.

(Sorry for my english, my grammatic is surely teribble.. if someone wants to correct me, please go on:rolleyes1 )

Yeah its the best, where else will you hear the bus driver singing Disney music at 7:00 am.

The buses all have GPS activated announcements, i asked the one driver why they don't talk, he said the automated announcements cut them off.
