I'm starting to do our last planning and now I am working on the characters.

How do you know WHEN and WHERE characters will be out?

I guess I need to get a list of who we want to see, but I know my son would be crazy about meeting Lightning and Mater.

We've asked cast members while we're there and they usually pull some magic paper out of their pocket & tells us where & when.;)

The weekly schedule for each park lists the standard places that you can find the characters. If you are looking for a specific character, you can ask at guest relations and they may be able to help you out. There are many unexpected ones out when the parks open. That is a good time to see them.

Where do I find the "weekly schedule"??

Thanks for all the super info! :)

When you get to the park of your choice, you can get the map and the schedule on your way in.

any CM with phone access can call the character hotline to find a character that is not listed on your park map. They will tell you where and when any character will be in the World that day.

So if I get this right, when I go into a park, I can get a park map and schedule and it will have who will be where, right?

The maps/schedules are at the front of the park, right?

There is no where online that this information is posted?

No, not online, it all changes daily. Have no fear if you really want to see a character Guest Relations can find out where they will be for you, and Character Attendants have access to park-wide character information. Lightning and Mater usually have a daily photo op on Streets of America in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I never had any trouble finding a character, when you check in at your resort they have all the weeks events and schedules for each park as well as park maps right there at the desk. if there is a character not listed then a CM at the park can call for you.
