How do you inventory your Owners Locker

This seems to be the biggest chore every trip. By the last day of vacation the last thing we want to do is sit down and write out what we have in our lockers. 1/2 bottle of shampoo, coffee filters, ponchos, blech... The last time we were in Disney we didn't have time to itemize our locker and now I am lost.

How do you keep an itinerary of whats in your locker? Do you write it down, keep it on your phone/computer, replace the items before you leave? How do you get the most out of your owners Locker?

I use the Owners Locker website itself to keep an inventory. Anything we are running low on, I go into the Owners Locker site and add a note of "BUY MORE." Then before our next trip, I place an Amazon order and we toss it in the checked luggage. I am not super good at this - I know we have laundry sheets and dishwasher pellets for example but I have no idea how many we actually have (but I do know how many bottles of tonic we have :confused3 ). I also try to keep expiration dates of perishables in the Owners Locker site - these are screen shots of our locker inventories (we have 2).

edited to add: there is also a detailed view for each locker. Apparently we have an entire bag of laundry detergent sheets

As we're packing up I do the edits while DH does the space management -- he works puzzles better than me too Good idea on the expiration, we got caught with stale items last Christmas.

You could take a photo of everything before you pack it then inventory later if you are out of time.

I keep my own spreadsheet and bring a hard copy. As I pack I make notations on the hard copy. I find it easier to do computer corrections after we get home.

This is my biggest trouble area as well. I tried the picture but I couldn't see everything in the photo. Now I have a list on my phone. At the end of the list I type in Need More and list the items we are low when I am packing things up. Once I did it the first time it is easy now. I only do this with items we use up (dryer sheets) and items I might forget we have (tweezers). I don't list laundry bag or sun hat because I know that is in the locker.

Last trip I started using the list on the Owner's Locker website. I bring a laptop (work provided) so in theory, I should have easy access to update that list. As mentioned by others, I have details added about how much of each item (half a handle of vodka, almost a full handle of light rum - that's the important stuff!), when it expires (meds), etc. Let's see if I can be as good about updating that list before we check out this year. I try to take anything home that I know will expire before our next trip. So at least I know there's nothing in there right now that isn't good until at least Oct/Nov of this year since I knew we wouldn't be back before that.

I also have an area of "need" items so we remember to bring more.

Before I did the list on the site last year, all trips before that I tried to remember, tried to make lists in my phone, or jotted on the little pads of paper they leave in the room, but usually didn't remember to do this until after we were home.

We just started using OL with our trip that ended last week. I did have an Excel spreadsheet before I went down but it is just much easier to update the OL site with the contents information. We had to enter all the items on this trip but going forward all we have to do is update the "Description" column to indicate our inventory status of that item. It will be pretty easy.

Actually the harder part was actually packing the OL with the 60 items we put in there! :)

I have a spreadsheet and like Jean, I print out a hard copy to bring with us. Throughout our stay, I make notes of additional items I want to bring, things we need to replace, etc. Nice and easy.

I update on the OL website, but I also bring a hard copy printed out once a year (we typically go 2 times a year). I made additions or subtractions on my hard copy and correct everything when I get home on the computer. I also mark a section as NEED TO BUY on the OL website inventory. I will check that a few weeks prior to our trip, make purchases and add those items onto both the website inventory and my printed hard copy.
