How do you hold a baby on rides?

My "baby" will be just 2 weeks shy of her 1st birthday (where did the time go!) when we visit WDW. She is not walking yet & hopefully will not be walking by then!! I am bringing my bjorn to hold her in lines when we can't use the stroller, but I am curious as to what rides she can ride & how she can ride them?
I am guessing she can ride any ride without a height restriction. But does she stay in the bjorn, ride on our laps, sit next to us? I am not sure how safe she would be just sitting next to us since she is pretty squirmy. Can someone who visited with a young 'un tell me how they rode the rides?
Thanks!!

when my dd was 3 months I kept her in the Baby Bjorn most of the time. Are you still using your Bjorn regularly? I couldn't carry my dd in it anymore (she's 1 next week and 24lbs or so)

I have a different sling which is more comfortable, but she is a bit bulky in it, I think it won't work with lap bars etc. I am not sure what we will do, probably just see what works when we get there.

I brought my youngest to WDW the first time he was 5mo and the second he was 14mo and just started walking. Why walk when you have two big brothers to do everything for you!! Now he just bosses them. I warned em.:) well anyway I just sat him next to me on all the rides he was allowed to go on. I always kept one hand on him just in case. He was excellent, so happy! I'm hoping for the same this year he will be 21/2 yikes!LOL:tongue:

I can't imagine carrying my 1yr old in the Bjorn at Disney (but I have a bigger boy)! This is what we used and absolutely loved it!!

We were always waiting around for our friends who used their Bjorn for their baby. They took so long to put it on and get the baby (5mo) in it and adjust it etc.

This sling snaps around your waist and flips up around the neck. We could stand in line with him then when getting into the vehicle you unsnap the neck strap (stays snapped around the waist) and he's out and you can have them sit on you lap and adjust them as needed for each ride vehicle. Then hold them around your hip and pull the neck strap around when getting off the ride. Super quick 1 snap on and off for getting on/off rides. We stood waiting for our friends and their Bjorn A LOT!!!

We rode pretty much everything but the coasters w/ DS. Have a great time!!!

My 2nd DD was a bit on the smaller side. At 10 months I comfortably carried her in the front carrier Snugli I had, and she stayed in it while we rode most rides. It was the best on rainy days - I just tucked a light blanket across the front to shield her legs and my umbrella kept us both dry. Way better than the stroller with cover.

We went recently in July and my DD was 9 mos. She either sat on a lap or sat on the bench next to me. She rode Buzz Lightyear, Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Cruise, Carousel of Progress, and then the sit down attractions. She would have rode more but my 5 year old niece was kind of reluctant for the dark rides so we stayed and kept her company. She really enjoyed the Pooh ride when the car bounces like Tigger.

Enjoy!!
