We were able to finally get the spring special for our dates but have to do a split stay-dream maker package. I know getting from one resort to another is no big deal BUT what do you do about your UPHP that comes with the package. If you split your stay you are actually duplicating an UPHP day - plus we are leaving early on the last day so won't even be able to go to parks. In other words we would be paying for UPHP for 2 extra days for 5 people-not a small bit of change. Is there a way to avoid this? (These are 5 adults-since kids are too old to be considered Children or juniors).

You use to be able to get a length of stay pass. I haven't needed to do this for a year or so because we decided it was cheaper for us to become passholders. With the length of stay pass, you tell them what day to start the pass, that way you would not be overlapping days like you would with the UPHP. You can ask whoever booked your stay(or call 407-WDisney yourself and ask), or you can call the hotel, and they will be able to tell you. I myself am not a fan of the UPHP because it is difficult to use all of the benefits on a daily basis. It just isn't cost effective! Good luck with your trip planning, and have a great time!

I thought the Ultimate Park Hopper Pass was the length of stay pass. I don't think you can cut days off when you buy a package. But if you buy your ticket when you check in, they sometimes let you drop the first or last day.

If I am understanding things correctly, you have dreammaker a at resort a, then you check in to resort b with dreammaker b.

This is easy. Make dreammaker b 1 day later and do a reservation for a single day at resort b on the checkout day from resort a

Since your passes are good till the end of the day on checkout from resort a, your single day, room only will be covered, with your dreammaker picking up the next day.

A lot of people do similar things if they are using the UPH, yet have to travel a long time on the first day. THey make a 1-day ressie, then their UPH stay, then possibly another 1-day ressie. That way they maximize their UPH and just do resort stuff on the leading and trailing day.
