How do you handle people’s comments about ECV?

I have used an ECV for at least the past 20 years. I go to the parks frequently - probably 30 plus days per year (at least for the past 4 years - and many days per year prior) I do not recall a single time that anyone ever made a rude comment to me or treated me any differently than anyone else. I normally - probably 90% of the time - visit the parks solo. I've experienced amazing offers of help and offers of assistance. I make the effort to be a good, respectful and friendly ECV user. I always try to maintain a walking speed and keep to the right of walkways so as not to ram into people or impede on their space. If the line to board a bus is huge - rather than take up space - I'll grab a coffee or tea and wait it out since I'm never in a huge rush and understand the frustration of those that have to stand after a long day....
I just want to reiterate what I’ve said in the above quote. I think it’s important for people to not go worrying that people are going to say negative things to them. In all the times that I’ve been using an ECV I cannot remember time where people were rude condescending or mean to me. If anything, I’ve always found that people are super helpful for example, trying to assist me in getting condiments or using the soda machine. For those of you that have experienced this negativity I can empathize with how difficult that is, but please be assured that this is certainly not something to be expected.

I'd probably be more snarky... "Well, bless your heart for your kind advice (or caring, or concern, or whatever)." I don't have time for crap.
Met a lady from Louisiana this morning who assured me the sweetest smiling Bless your heart” works. lol. So far like 99% of people are helpful or accommodating

We will be taking ECV on a cruise for my daughter’s wedding and I’m so worried about people being mean.
How do you handle it?
I’ve had people say some mean things like fat shaming and look it’s a miracle when I parked it and walked into a restaurant. I can walk but not far. I am overweight but that’s not why I require mobility devices,
Do I ignore, ask them to stop, share my medical information? I just don’t know how to respond.
Ignore them...always ignore it. Let them live in their own negativity; you don't need to. Nothing good will come from you engaging with someone like that. Don't pay them any attention and enjoy your vacation.

100% of the comments are questions
Where did I rent the ECV? How long does the battery last? Where can I charge it etc.

Bought a foldable scooter. Questions where did I buy it? How is it working out?....

I was leaving the Swan Reserve. I was getting the scooter ready for a Lyft XL.
Valet had 2 questions. Do I need help? No thank you. Would you mind showing me how it's done.

I am of the mindset that I can only control what I can control, and I can't control what other people say. I have found a tool that helps me enjoy my vacation far more than without it, I would just move on and enjoy my vacation.
