how do you go to washroom with your wedding dress?

With help from some of your closest friends! You'll have to ask your BM to come and help you with your dress. Depending on the dress, you *may* be able to get out of it, go, and then get back in, but with most gowns, your BM will have to hold it up for you while you do your thing. That's what friends are for:D

LOL! It's not stupid because honestly that is the first thing that popped into my head when I picked out my gown:D

I have two words for you.... handicapped stall. :o

I agree with the handicap stall idea. Also, I sat on the toilet backwards. It was much easier to only lift up the front part of my dress vs. the shole back part with bustled chapel length train. My sister was there to help with all the lifting and keeping my dress clean.

My friend just got married and her MOH and I had to go in the bathroom with her to hold her dress up while she went. We couldn't see anything of course, but that was the only way she could manage it. The things you do for friends..... :p

Three words!! Bring a Friend!!! My sister had to get completely under my first dress and pull down my thongs so I could go. I wore a cinderella type dress with the lace up corsett top but the bottome was huge. Six foot train and tails. It must have weighed 50 lbs easily. I learned my lesson!! This time I am going elegant and simple. I would like a beach wedding so I may not even wear shoes. Good luck to ya.:chat: :chat: :chat:

I didn't have a problem with my tux. :bounce: :bounce:

Sorry, just had to throw in the male perspective. :p

I guess we are all shy - but I didn't want friends or family in the bathroom. The handicap stall is a good idea. I just bunched my dress all the way to the front so I could hold most of it in one arm and backed up to the toilet. My daughters did the same thing and one of them had a huge dress

It might no have been normal, but I didn't have to go the whole evening. I went just before I got into the dress (2 PM) and I didn't go until we got up to our room and I got out of the dress (11 PM). Now, I had a total of 1 and a half glasses of wine and one cape cod the whole night, too, so that might also have been helpful.

I'll be taking whoever I can get my hands on at my time of need - I have no shame ;)

LOL Stuart :teeth:

i am shy too...
i think i will really try not to drink too much... if really can't, i will ask my mom for help then
