How do you get VIP status in the game?

I've seen people with the "born in the park" and "since day 1" icons in their profiles. But what is the "VIP" one for? And how do you get it?

VIP come from doing the 'in-park' quests and then taking the VMK Walking Tour. You can take it at either WDW or DL and it takes about 2 1/2 hours.

The tour guide from my tour at WDW yesterday said that the one in DL is much more popular (not really any different content-wise) -- to the order of 7 people take the tour at DL to every 2 that take it at WDW. Also at times at DL it may take up to a week to find an open date to take the tour.

OK so I have to go to WDW to do my tour then, I live in Florida. But it's 2.5 hours longs?
