how do you get the DDE?

We are going to WDW in mid-May and plan to purchase APs the day of our arrival (at one of the guest relations spots). How can we also get the DDE card at this time? Is that possible?

I got a DDE a year or so ago, but I had an AP voucher number that we used to secure the DDE card. . . .

Any help appreciated!!

you can call disney and get the voucher for your AP's and then call DDE and get that .....you need the AP voucher number to get the DDE.....we think it is worth it......The Ap's would not go into effect until yuo walk into the Guest Service window at any of the parks .....
Maybe you should call the number and see what they say......

If you stick with your plan of purchasing APs upon arrival, you can call the DDE number as soon as you purchase. They will have a temporary card for you at the Guset Services outside the front of Epcot by 5:30 that evening.

The catch is that the office hours are Mon-Friday. They close at 5pm. So if you buy your AP on the weekend (or after 5 on Friday), the earliest you will get your temporary card is Monday after 5:30.

I want to use Gift Cards to pay for the APs, so I need to do that in person. . .

That's great if I can call DDE and have a temp card sent to Epcot, but would they send it to guest services at DTD if I asked? That would be alot easier and they are open later!!

All you need to get DDE is one AP - so you could buy one voucher now, and use that gift card to pay for your food (surely, your food costs will exceed the amount of one AP?) Have the DDE temp mailed to you.

Why not save the hassle and do it that way?

nope, it's epcot.

you won't be able to renew, but if you have the universal gift card and your local disney store (assuming you have one) sells APs, you should be able to get one that way.

but they do say to allow 4-6 weeks for the DDE to be mailed, so i'm not sure i'd go out of my way for it now for mid-may.
