How do you get picked for Fear Factor?

Going down in US with 10 yr old who wants to drink bugs..... What or where should you do/be to get selected for the show? Can a 10 yr old get selected?

They have a booth outside the arena that you can register at. If you fit what they are looking for they will cast you in one of the stunts. You need to be at the casting center about an hour before the show.

Hey there! Yes, as long as a parent signs the release, your 10 year old can participate.

I was not there when our group got picked, but I will try to find out for sure how they were selected I can tell you that my DD did not sign up for it at the casting booth, her group was definitely chosen (or perhaps asked to be chosen) while they were in line for the show.

Additionally, once the audience is let into the theater, they select several other "assistants", most of whom are children, to participate in the show. They did select mostly kids who were close to the front. We were about 6-7 rows up on the right hand side and my 11 year old son was picked along with about 6-8 other kids. He ultimately controlled some wind and water effects from the perimeter of the stage area. He had a great time.

I was there today, and you are supposed to show up 45 minutes before showtime and go to the casting booth in front of the entrance.
