How do you get back to your resort after e-ride nights?

Typically the Disney Transport operates two hours after park closing....but I was wondering, when E ride goes on until 1am, does the transport operate until 3am? How does that work? We are thinking of trying this feature out in June when we go, but I don't know how to get back to our resort! And also, do all modes of transport (bus, monorail, boat) operate or just certain ones?

I'm not sure about the other modes of transportation but I'm pretty sure the buses run until an hour (I think!) after e-ride night is over. They will tell you at your resort when you buy the e-ride tickets and they also have a brochure at check-in about e-ride which probably mentions how to get back to your hotel. We did one in May '01 and it was the best part of our trip. We left about a half an hour before the end of e-ride night and had no problem getting to ASMo. I can't imagine they would leave a couple thousand people stranded at MK.

I see that you'll be staying at Wilderness Lodge. My DH and I were there in February. We love it. We also did E-night. We usually take the boat to/from MK, but to our dismay, they stop boat service after official park closing on e-nights. So we had to take the monorail to the TTC and the Boone or Crockett bus to WL. We were the only ones on the bus! The ride was relatively short. Make sure you get on the bus that does NOT ride through Fort Wilderness however. That one takes FOREVER to get back to WL. Can't remember if it's the Boone or Crockett. Just ask the driver.

On several trips the bus driver has announced that the buses will run 'til everyone gets back tho their resort. I been to e-night a few times, and never had any trouble getting back to the resort. Sometimes more than one resort will ride a bus, but it's not hard to figure out which one to get on. Usually there are castmembers waiting at the bus stop to point you in the right direction.

Just an FYI for anyone taking their own vehicles for e night...the trams did not run to the parking lot after e night and we had to walk a very very long way back to our vehicle. I had asked at Guest Relations if they did run and I was told that they did; we were quite surprised when we got to the tram area and there were no trams. We had parked a very long distance and it was not fun to walk back to our car after e night.

...your best bet is monorail to TTC and transfer onto a bus. When we visited MK in Nov, we had ressies for Whispering Canyon at WL 1/2 hour after closing, not thinking about transportation back to the Dolphin. We went to WL via ferry (it was the last one) So, after dinner, we travelled by bus to Downtown Disney and caught another bus to Dolphin from there....

Good luck!!!!

They assume that e-night guests are resort guests using Disney transportation, thus the trams in the parking lot stop running sooner.

You don't have to be in the thick of the crowd when exiting after e-ngiht, but don't straggle too far behind and transportation will keep running for you.
