This is our 1st trip to WDW staying at the Old Key West. While we're down there, we have a 8:10 PS for Breakfast in the Castle on a non-ee day. It has been suggested for our piece if mind that we take a cab. I like this idea but, I have a few questions:

What cab company do you call?

Can they fit 6 people + a wheelchair (in the trunk)?

What time should we tell the cab to pick us up for a 8:10 PS at MK?

Any other input would be greatly apprecitated !!!

Thanks,
Christine:D

You simply call the front desk and they will get you one. Note most cabs will not hold 6 but if you tell them you need basically a van (and have someone in a wheelchair), they may request a van type cab or just send over the resort's courtesy van to take you. Usually you can get a cab fairly quickly but with a special situation like yours I would likely call at least 30 minutes before you intend to leave. I am not sure but I think the cabs take you to the TTC and not the MK gate area, you should check on that because if that is the case you might be better taking a cab to GF and then hopping the monorail from there. For an 8:10 I would definitely leave by 7:20.

You don't have to call anyone. Prearrange this the day before with the Bell Services staff. They will arrange for a taxi van to be there at your desired time in the morning. Make sure you tell them the size of your party. I would request a 7:15 pickup. That will allow enough time to get you to the CR and a little cushion in case the cab is late. Have the taxi drop you off right near the security gate. That will save you a little walking. Then just walk over to the front gates at MK. It's about a five minute walk.

Cab fare will probably be in the $10-$15 dollar range for this.

Thanks you guys!! I can't believe how hard this is to figure out!!! I appreciate your advice!!
Can I ask what the CR is? Is it the Contemporary Resort?

Thank you!!! One more question (I hope.....) Do the cabs take you to the MK gates or just to the TCC? Hopefully we can get a courtsey van that would be ideal. But, just incase, I'm getting a back up plan incase. Thanks again.........

If you plan on leaving OKW at 7:15 AM for MK, why not just take the bus?!? It isn't really that long of a trip. And if you end up staying on Miller's Road, it's the next stop or so (Hospitality House, then MK?).

I belive MK bus service begins TWO hours before the park opens, so that should give you ample time. Also, if you do get to Cindy's late, just tell the host/hostess that it was WDW transportation's fault. They know how to correct for travel time and should have you seated relatively quickly.

My two cents, Steve
