How do you find out about Disney Visa discounts/promos?

I'm just wondering- for those of you who have a Disney Visa- how do you find out about discounts and free-dining before the general public? I've had a Disney Visa card for the past 5 yrs and I never get an email or regular mail about free-dining promotions. The only way I ever hear about it is on the DIS.

I get notices via email and snail mail but they're not in a timely fashion by any stretch of imagination so you're not missing anything there. I won't get them till weeks after they've gone live to the general public. My best sources are right here the Dis, Mousesavers, Chip & Co, and a few other Disney related blogs.

From the DIS boards and Mouse savers. I've rarely been alerted by Disney Visa, and the few times I was, it was way after it went public. Not very good customer service IMHO. These boards have been awesome. I basically decide on a general time I want to visit WDW, then start stalking the boards about 5-6 mths in advance. For example, I knew back in nov 2013 we wanted to go this April. That's about when I started subscribing to the code watch threads. They released the visa code in dec.

Thanks- that's what I do too..stalk the boards on a daily basis watching out for any annoucments. Looks like I am not missing out on anything.

have you gone into your account under special offers to be sure you have it set up to receive them?

I get the offers late afternoon/early evening on the day they go live. My sister lives in the same town, got the card after me, both use Yahoo and she gets her e-mails 3-6 hours before me.
