How do you enlarge clip art?

I found a clip art I want to use but I need to make it bigger. Any ideas how to enlarge it?

just paste in word and then click on it to select - if you pull it from the corner it will enlarge

or paste it in any photo software and enlarge it there

Yes I did that but the pictures break down. I want it to stay nice and crisp

whenever I save the clip art or pix on the web they break down if you make them bigger..I wanted to make some t-shirts for our nov trip and my friend had to scan the pix of shrek from the vcr tape cause it was big and then she put it on a floppy for me and it is not even the pix I want..anyone know how to fix this problem or can't it be done..tia marianne
