(Hopefully) leaving for FL on Friday for a 1 week stay. How do you stay on program (any kind of diet for that matter) when you're eating out 3 meals per day for a week? Does anyone have any tips for me? I've lost 10 lbs already & don't want to gain that back. Please help!!

(P.S. Said "hopefully" because my aunt is dying. If she dies before our trip, we will be cancelling. :( )

First, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. {{{hugs}}} to you and your family at this difficult time.

I haven't taken a vacation yet and had to incorporate my South Beach eating lifestyle. I'll be at Disney in just over 2 months and I already have most of my ps's in place and plan to eat according to my program the entire time. I'm definitely bringing snacks from home (nuts, a few lc candy bars if I need them, etc.) We have buffet breakfasts scheduled most mornings so I can have a verity to pick from and see the characters too. :)

We'll do counter service for most lunches and dinners and I don't think I'll have a problem taking the bun off a hot dog or burger and I've got a listing of several places at MK and Epcot that have sugar free desserts if I feel so inclined.

All in all, I'm pretty upbeat about being able to stay on program and hope I am successful. I'm not sure which program you are following but if you have your mind made up, it shouldn't be too difficult to stay on plan.

I hope you are able to have a good trip.

I guess it depends on what you are doing........
IF its WW, you may already know how many points things are, if its LC your doing then simply go where ever you may normally go and and avoind bread starches and so on.......
remember however, you are there to have fun so plurg a little every now and then and maybe alternate days.......
good luck.......
Hope your aunt gets better.......

I'm doing the WW program at home...but my biggest problem is that I will be thinking "oh...I might as well eat that since I don't get that at home...." and then not only re-gain the 10 lbs I've lost but also bring friends home along for the ride!

We had a 16 day trip to WDW in December. What I decided to do was eat how I want to eat when I'm at my goal weight. So I incorporated some extras into my diet, that I wouldn't necessarily eat while I'm OP. I didn't stuff my face! I stopped eating whenever I was full. Anyway when we got back I had put on 1lb, and that was due to water retention because of the long flights. I lost 5lbs the following week. So go ahead and have a few extras if you want them, just don't have too many and you should be fine! :hyper:
