I was really stressed last semester, and I totally didn't handle it well, and I kind of suffered from that. So anyway, these are my solutions:
1.
Get a stressball. Those things really help for times when you just need to let it out.
2.
Try to exercise everyday. I've found that by running, rollerblading, or playing tennis, I feel a lot better and a lot happier.
3.
Take a long, hot bath. I know this sounds weird in the summer, but it's a great way to relax and just think things through.
4.
If you like to bake (I can't remember if you do...

),
make something simple, like cc cookies or brownies. You'll feel better after you've accomplished something, and the chocolate is a big plus!
5.
Watch one of your fav movies( or likewise, listen to your favorite music). It will take your mind off of things for an hour or two.
6.
Read one of your favorite books. Like a movie, it will 'transport' you to a different world.
7.
Call up one of your close friends and just talk about anything.
8.
Plan a movie night with your friends. Go see a movie (a funny one is good!) and then have dinner or go to Starbucks afterwards.
9.
Write in a journal. This is a good way to let out your feelings other than telling them to another person.
10.
Play the piano. I know that it really helps me to relax when I can just sit down and play a piece by heart.
