How do you change your IP address

I have been band.... On my Ip address so how do you change it??
also does this change anything (Files, Downloads, etc.)

Saw your other thread too. I was under the impression that ip addy bans are only for 10 year bans, not for 30 day bans. Are you sure you were only banned for 30 days? Are you sure your ip address is banned? Have they changed this policy??

I am only band for a month but my other accounts are band as well

type of computer (windows mac or linux)

type of internet coonnection

who gives you internet

Road runner/ Windows XP/ Wireless Internet

I have to agree. Also I really don't think telling someone how to un-ban themselves is appropriate for these boards. Getting around the rules so you can get back on the game is not something we should be encouraging. If you were banned it was for a reason. Contact VMK and find out what exactly you were banned for. If you really did not do anything wrong they will lift the ban. They have done it many times. If you did get banned for doing something against VMK values, be thankful it is only a 30 day ban and learn from it, rather than try to figure out out to further break the rules.

Also From what I know from reading here, Changing your IP will not unlock your Account It just means you could make a new person. If I have my facts right untill the ban is lifted all accounts on that IP are Locked for the ban duration.

sorry but this is how to set your computer to the IP # provided by your ISP it will not change your IP address, that can only be done by your provider.

yes because to unban you're charcter you would have to hack vmk within 15 seconds unless you can keep on changing proxies at which point you'd have about 15 seconds on each proxy.. that's how fast it would take for the CIA to trace you so i'm guessing you will get more time on vmk..

Not true. My son was banned for an innocent mistake for 30 days, still in duration. They gave us an IP ban as well much to my dismay since my dd an I also play often (ahem..daily ). There are instructions out there on how to change the IP address. Simple measures didn't work and since we had a router hooking up 3 computers I didn't want to mess around with the more complicated instructions. A few days into the ban we changed to cable phone, which also changed our router, thus our IP. Oddly, it only changed it on my computer, and not the kids', so dd and I can't be on at the same time but that's not such a big deal. I'm on my way to the pirate dock now.

If there are truly other family members in WWEDUDE's home who are without access because he messed up it's the least he can do to try and find out how to get them back in the game.

There's a few options, some easier.

1)The easiest way would be to load VMK from www.kproxy.com
2)Contact your internet provider, and ask them to change it.
3)You may be shockwave ID banned, or IP banned. If you're shockwave banned I can help with that, but I think you're IP banned.
4)Wait 10 years.


If you're IP banned, then do those or what the offspring guy said, It WILL NOT unban your accounts though. But i'm thinking maybe changing your shockwave ID might.

I'm pretty sure that changes the speed, not the IP.
