How do you change your email default?

Sorry, I don't know the correct wording!

If I click onto an info link, my computer links to my old AOL email, which I killed forever ago! How do I change it to default to my new account.

Excuse my brain freeze, but I know someone here will know!

Do you mean for Outlook Express? As in when you click an email link, OE opens up, but it lists you AOL account and not your new email address?


Open OE
Go to Tools, Accounts
Click the Mail tab
Click Add, Mail

Enter the name you want to appear on your messages
Enter your new email address
Enter the server names - usually pop.aol.com for the POP3 server amd smtp.aol.com in the SMTP server Replace aol in this example with your new email provder. If your new email is @.net, use .net rather than .com. You can usually find these detail on your provider's webpage.

While in IE, click on (at the top) Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Email. Select your choice from the dropdown menu. That is how I have done it in the pasat. Well, I never have changed, just OE, but originally, at delivery, it was set to O.
