How do you change a thread title to "update" it?

I was "scolded" on my lost cat thread because I updated w/o putting it in the title. Can someone help?

Simply click on the thread, and hit the edit button at the bottom, then fill in the part you want to change.

 

[Pin Wizard]

Go to your original post, click on "Edit", then you can change the title. Then just save the change.
