I was hoping for some ideas on how to surprise my step mom for special Disney World birthday. Our group is my parents and my family(DH and 3 little boys) Any ideas?

I have not personally done this but I know you can order cakes from Grand Floridian and/or Boardwalk. If you jump to the Restaurant board, there's a thread of cakes w/ pictures. Not too cheap, for sure, but so cute!! I'm considering having one made for our trip this July!

I have spent many of my birthdays at WDW, starting when I was in college. My birthday is in mid-March so it sometimes would be during spring break.

One of my favorite birthdays was my 40th. I started the day at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast. Back then, they still announced the names and ages of all the birthday "kids". All the other kids' birthdays added together didn't equal my total of 40 years! :rotfl:

Dinner on my birthday is usually at California Grill.

I pretty much like anything we do on my birthday if we are at WDW just because it is Disney!

I don't know, but I'm going to find out this Sept. It will be my first birthday celebrated at WDW. It only took 54 years! :thumbsup2

We've been in WDW on several b-days in my family. Some things I have arranged:

1) manicure for DD at our resort's salon
2) Illuminations Celebration Cruise (I had a cake delivered to the boat)
3) breakfast at CRT
4) preordered a cake for MIL on her b-day at LTT
5) I brought Disney b-day balloons from home & the cm at the front desk of our resort inflated them for me. I used them to help decorate our room on the morning of DD's b-day.

Hope this helps!

Me, too! However, it only took 41 years for me. :)

We took my mother on a fireworks cruise for her birthday. It left out of Poly marina. We told them it was her birthday so we had them decorate it with balloons and a happy birthday banner. I also ordered a cake and we had it while watching the fireworks. It is really a great way to celebrate.:figment:

We took our daughter to the spirit of hawaii show at the polynesian, and got her a birthday cake surprisingly from the little store at the Carribbean.
