How do you carry your Pal Mickey around?

I really like using our Pal Mickey but he's such a pain to lug around the parks! I have a large camera bag that I carry everywhere so I don't really have a place where I can "wear" Mickey. Not only that, but it's just an annoyance everytime he giggles to unclip him to listen to what he's going to say. I would carry him in my hand except I have to push a stroller (my husband has to push the other stroller). Has anyone discovered a creative way to bring Mickey around the parks without him being a hassle?

I got tired of carrying my Pal Mickey around.... so I sold him on eBay :guilty: I carried it on our first trip but it did just feel like another thing to lug around and I was always worrying about dropping it/losing it so I ended up sticking it in our backpack the whole time. On our next trip, I ended up leaving it in the room the whole time, so I decided to sell it on eBay to get my $$ back.

LOL - well that would solve the problem wouldn't it!!

I will have to deal with this I guess in a few days when we visit WDW, so I am wondering if is possible to maybe run a string, yarn or something through his clothes and then sort of let him dangle around your neck? That would at least leave your hands free? Too bad they don't make those little baby slings for Pal Mickey? :)

We have a carabiner that we clip pal Mickey to (loop on his back) and then clip that to a bar on the side of the stroller. I'm no longer interested in what he is saying but the kids still like to listen to him. When he has something to say my DD who is in the stroller and he is nearest to her ear will alert my DS that Mickey has something to say. My DS then leans his ear down and squeezes Mickey so they can both have a listen. We usually have to slow down a bit but at least no one has to carry Mickey and I'm getting my $50 worth! :goodvibes

You have just given me a great idea! I think I am going to try to rig one up for our upcoming trip. I've had my Pal for about 10 months, but he's never been to WDW. That is why I bought him, to take him to WDW. I couldn't bear to leave him home.

I have seen people with him clipped to their lanyards.

I had an old lanyard for my office badge that I clipped to my Pal Mickey. That way I can dangle him around my neck. The only problem I had was that I didn't hear or feel him vibrate that often. I don't know if we just weren't in areas for him to have a message or I missed them all.

But I will be doing that again on our next trip this Dec.

The new Pal Mickeys that they sell now come with a belt clip and a lanyard. The lanyard made me nervous, felt like he was going to fall off, so I used the belt clip. Clipped it on my belt and then used the "strap" on his head and slid him onto the clip. Getting him on and off when he giggled wasn't really a problem, he came off and on pretty easily and stayed securely on. ::MickeyMo

Ooooh! That will work great. Thanks for the idea. When you go on a ride do you bring Mickey inside so no one steals him?

I am happiest just carrying him. Really! I slide my finger through the clip loop at the back and carry him like that!!! I'm just like a little kid carrying my Mickey!!! Never liked the belt clip, and the new lanyard thing doesn't seem safe to me (I can't work out the velcro, it comes apart too easily!) I have a messenger bag, so I'm not using hands for bags. I have a hand free for my DS5, who usually would rather have Daddy's hand anyway. I cannot imagine that this would work for anyone but me...I'm kind of odd like that!!!

My dd's use one of the water bottle straps they sell at the water carts. We have a few from our trips and they usually pick the one for the park we are visiting.

They wear it around the neck but then under one arm like a purse, they can still listen to him when he speaks. They found this a bit lighter, more comfortagble and easier to carry than wearing the lanyard.

Oh and I would not leave him in or attached to a stroller if you would like to see him again !

I always leave him clipped on. We actually rarely take him off. He goes everywhere with us even around Cincinnati! :moped:

We got our Pal Mickey when he was still relatively new and only came with the belt clip. We decide to put a bottle strap around his neck (think "the happiest noose on earth"). My husband normally ended up carrying him and would put the strap across his chest (over neck and one arm) which made it lighter to carry than just around the neck, easy to feel him vibrate and easy to put him up to your ear (or someone else's) to listen to what he's saying.

I have the new one that comes with the big yellow lanyard. I just slung him over my shoulder like a purse, only at an angle. (Over one shoulder with Mickey on the other hip). Worked fine.

My son has a water bottle lanyard that he puts Mickey on. It looks alittle mean since it look slike he has a noose around his neck, but it gets the mouse around !!

I brought one of those Pin tracing Straps and cliped him to that and hanged it round my neck.
