How do you carry your money / passes?

In the Jewlery section of Walmart, they carry a fishing license holder. It is the perfect size for all of the tickets I carry and the FP's. After use I stick it under my shirt. It would be able to hold a few dollars but it won't be that big to carrry all of the money for WDW! We actually charge everything back to our room for that reason. I carry very little cash.

Kaycee is right on the money. Absolutely, positively no one would notice you at WDW. Fannypacks are everywhere! Remember, these are the same folks who are so busy staring at Main St. they walk right into you like you are invisible.

Have a wonderful trip!!

I just don't know about a fanny pack. As a child of the 70s / 80s parents were such geeks (nothing personal to anyone) who wore them. Am I really one of those now? sniff sniff. LOL

:teeth: Again.. thanks so much for the ideas. Maybe it is time for this geek parent to get a FP.

well i'm at least a decade older than you but they still remind me of "old people going to vegas"! hubby insists he is taking one but he has to wear it *under * his shirt or i'm not walking with him!:o

we were just "discussing" this last night as I really don't want to lug my camera case around all day but want to have my camera which is aSLR and the lens is to large for a fanny pack.

if you put your pass in a wallet aren't you afraid something will fall out when you pull it out for fast passes? the fishing license thing sounds good and about how much I want to pay for it !

Fanny pack all the way. We have been using them since we got our 1st one at Busch Garden's Williamsburg in 1994.

All right--you all have ALMOST convinced me I need to go buy a fanny pack for this vacation instead of lugging around my backpack--ALMOST! Here's my question, how do they work on "Pooh-sized" people?? I'm overweight (not HUGE, but definitely overweight). It seems that they would accentuate my negatives, if you know what I mean!!!! Also, where do you even BUY a fanny pack??????

P.S. Maybe the Tag Fairy knows??!!! Still clappin' and still believin'!!!!

We got ours at Walmart before our 2001 WDW trip. They had two sizes. I'm fairly short and average build so I got the smaller one. My DH is 6'3" 210 lbs. average build but carries most his weight around his waist so he got the larger one and it's plenty roomy enough for him. I haven't looked lately, but I'd say they still carry these. If not, I've heard lots of people say they found theirs at sporting goods stores. I can't remember the price, but I know ours were not very expensive - I believe they were between $10 and $15. Maybe even less than $10. We're getting ready to use them for the 4th WDW trip and they still look brand-new. They hold up really well when you only use them at WDW!

Happy fanny-pack hunting!

I don't like fanny packs as I find them hot against my body. I don't like to tuck in my tshirt when it's warm and wearing the fanny pack also makes my shirt be close to my body. I also find it inconvenient to get to my money especially if it is in the back of the FP.

I tried the lanyard with a small plastic faced pouch. It would hold passes, money, credit card, etc but not much else so if I bought anything - even a pin - there was no more room.

Since I don't carry a backback I do want to have a little extra room so what works for me if a very small purse on a long strap that I wear over my chest. I find it very comfortable. the one I have is like a long wallet and has slots for credit cards/passes etc.
It has a pocket for my cell phone or mp3 player (which I use to listen to books on tape when waiting in long lines). It is so small that it is very easy to go through security.

has anyone who takes nonfanny pack packs had aproblem with them on any of the attractions.ie rnr, space or splash...I am wondering just how joustled ( pretty sure that is spelled wrong)my camera would get if I just kept it around my neck and let hubb take the rest in the fanny pack

also have the Fpacks ever gotten in the way of any attraction restraints?
Thanks

I always take a fanny pack. I can fit my pass, credit cards, money, poncho and snacks in it and I have plenty of room left. I normally have to carry a camera bag too, but hopefully the next camera I buy will be small enough to fit in the fanny pack. I like a fanny pack better than a purse since it is attached to me and I can not leave it somewhere as long as I keep it on. Plus a purse or backpack gets heavier as the day goes on, while I really do not feel a fanny pack on my waist.

We will be carrying a fanny pack in April. It has a large waterproof zippered area and an outside smaller zippered area. On both sides it has a water bottle that fits into an insulated holder. I bought it at BassPro. Very nice size. Not too big, not too small. Hope this helps.

I have a pretty small and unobtrusive fanny pack that I bought at WDW a couple of years ago. It has a zipper pouch on the inside (next to your waist) where I put the important things like money, tickets, and room key cards.

Believe me, I had a "thing" about fanny packs, too, before I had mine. It's funny how I ended up with it -- I'd had the stomach flu for the first few days we were on vacation (visiting family, thank goodness, and not at WDW yet). By the time we got to WDW I had lost a few pounds. Our first morning out was cold and I put on my only pair of jeans, only to have them slide right off my hips! I sent DH down to the resort gift shop to try to buy me a belt, and he came back with a fanny pack, since they didn't have any belts. I wore it out of necessity (to keep my pants up) and ended up falling in love with it.

i keep my little bills $5 and $1 in my pcoket... not more than $25. as for my other bills... i stuff them in my shoe. Just hope it doesnt rain.. thats not a good thing

... or get too hot then I pity the poor cashier!:) :faint:

I got a nice pack at wallmart for $15 ( not cheap but ...) it is water resistant & padded with a big dividable zippered compartment for a camera or camcorder and film and another lens, zipper place for passes, money and such and a velcroed compartment for snacks and spare children, whatever, and the best part is the straps twist and lock in place so you can use it around your waist or over your shoulder so it is usable after WDW...kind of large but hub. thinks it looks "manly"!(I think it makes him look like he is developing some major spare tire but we won't tell him that since I want him to use it !:)

I found something TOTALLY cool at Walmart yesterday and now I am changing my earlier answer!!! I found THE CUTEST Tink backpack--on WHEELS no less!!! It has a detachable "mini backpack" attached to the front of it that is an AWESOME size (it's small, but has lots of pockets and more than enough room for camera, change, and my brand new DIS water wallet!!! I'm SO happy with it. So the plan is going to be to take both to the park, detach the small one and store the bigger one in a locker with changes of clothes, shoes, and sweat shirts! I'm SO excited and TINK to boot!!!!

All the pixie dust y'all have sent my way with regards to Josh must have rubbed off with regards to finding GREAT deals on AWESOME needed stuff!!! BTW, the backpack was $15--a small price to pay for something so FUN!!!!

Tag Fairy--even though I got this great bargain--I'd still like a tag!!! I'm still clappin' and still believin'!!!!
