How do you bring down your SunPass?

I still have my SunPass from when my DH & I lived in FL with quite a bit of money on it and we'd like to use down there. I know how to add the rental car and all that fun stuff.

Big question, how do you pack in your suitcase to fly it down with you? Do you use the little RF blocking baggie? Take out the battery?

I might ship it down to my parent's house if its easier. I hate being picked on by TSA and flying isn't always my forte so I just want things to go as smooth as possible. Thanks!

I just takes ours down in my carry on bag, in the little baggie, it hasn't been a problem through security.
We love having the Sunpass to use in our rental cars, just makes life easier!

Same here - in my carry on (because who wants to dig through your luggage to find it when you arrive), in its little silver bag. No problems.

Mine is attached to my Windshield :goodvibes We usually drive down a few times a year so it made sence to get one on the car.

Thanks so much! We'll just toss it into our carry-on then.

Another silly question, do you need to take it out like a laptop?

I throw mine in our carryon and have never had to take it out for airport security.

Packed in carry on in its anti RF baggie with the battery out. Never had to remove.

Can someone explain how a personal SunPass works on a rental car? I want to get a SunPass because of our many trips, but how does it read the personal SunPass and not the rental car's SunPass?

This will be the first time I rent a car in FL, but I didn't reserve my rental car with their toll option. So I'm assuming they're not going to give me one. If not I believe all you have to do is opt out and tell them you have your own or prefer to use to cash.

Also, when you register your SunPass there is an option to add a car as a rental. So incase the battery dies or whatever FL knows that the picture they have of the plate goes with your sunpass and you don't get a violation.

Hope this helps =)
