How do YOU book your trip ?? Expedia? Travelocity? Other?

I always book flight, hotel, tickets separately. I've found there's better cancellation/payment policies by going this route.

Also, for airfare, I usually start on orbitz or travelocity to find the cheapest airfare, and then book it directly through the airlines. I had a bad experience with Orbitz on my honeymoon flight to Hawaii where one of the flights got cancelled and they rebooked us on a flight that literally was not possible, and didn't even get us to Hawaii. By the time I got it all straightened out we paid about $400 more in airfare since we had to rebook. That was a mess and I think there's at least less chance of something like that happening when booking direct. And the price is usually as cheap or cheaper also.

Have fun! :goodvibes

I do tickets and lodging seperately. Since we drive, there's no flight or car rental to worry about. For this trip, we only have one day of IOA and are off universal site. I booked the non-disney hotels through my credit card reward points sites. With the other credit card, I was able to get IOA/US one day tickets. The Disney tickets were through Undercover Tourist. The Disney hotel was directly through Disney.

I do have great IOA/US tickets I bought on-line directly through the Universal site almost two years ago - but we're not using them until 2013. (It was $99 for 7 day passes. So I jumped on the chance and am squirrelling them away). We did some of our stay at RPR the last three times, and I booked directly through them. The last 3 times, I was about to get free 2 day US/IOA tickets with credit card points. (But since then, the points have changed and it costs more points now).

When I do need to fly to other places, I also look at sites like Orbitz or Travelocity and then go to the airline sites directly. It's much easier to get to speak to a real person that way if you need to change anything. If you change airlines, then it can get really tricky. Do a websearch for reviews of whatever travel company you're using. It was an eye opener when I searched reviews for on-line ones like Orbitz and Travelocity.

Booked with Dreams Unlimited twice before for our trips to WDW. It was painless and convenient (since I do not reside in the States). Already made another booking for our next trip to WDW (2012), again through DU. This time, we're also spending several days at Universal Studios. So, I engaged a DU agent specializing in Universal bookings to help me with my reservations and tickets. Makes more sense for me to book through DU as I live outside the U.S.A. I like that they do all the calling for me. I don't have to worry about long distance phone bills and the time difference!! For our last trip, our DU agent managed to get us on Free Dining even though our original booking/reservation did not include FD. She called Disney and presto. It was done. Gotta love that!

I purchase air tickets via the airline website. Travel insurance is bought online too.

Looking forward to visiting Orlando again next year!!

Whenever I travel locally or otherwise I always make all my own reservations directly for everything. I used to use Expedia but those "special rates are not so special". AAA discounts and work discounts always add up to a better deal.
