So I have been looking into the DVC and I just can't help but wonder how do the agents who are selling the memberships get started selling DVC memberships for Disney?

I have always wanted to do something like this or be vacation planner. I would love to hear anyone experiences.:goodvibes

Not a 100% positive on this, but I do believe you need to have your Real Estate license to sell DVC's because it is real estate property.

My DH inquired about this a year ago as he has a real estate license. He was told that he needed to have an established FL real estate license to be considered, although he was looking at being based in FL so I'm sure if you wanted to sell elsewhere then you'd need your license in that state. They did say no timeshare sales experience specifically was necessary, just real estate sales in general. Check their web postings as they are always updating the offerings and have DVC openings frequently.

At Chicago's Doorway to Dreams you are required to have a current Illinois Real Estate license. However, they have just recently laid off DVC Guides, as I have heard happening in FL as well, so I don't think it is a good time to seek employment as one.

I know it's not realistic due to my schedule but, I'd love be able to sell DVC from home part time.:)

Thought I received something about DVC looking for at home NY licensed agents? Think the requirement was to live in either Ct, NJ, or NY and also have a NY R/E license!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone out there take advantage of this opportunity???????????????

Thinking myself of getting a NY R/E license...Thought this may be a neat opportunity to turn a "hobby" into some income!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Wonder how often DVC is in need of additional DVC at home sales staff?????

Think the training included 5 nights at WDW this month in fact...

Anyone have any other info? Would GREATLY BE APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!
THANKS!:wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

Disney has recently gone through a change with their Guides.

The telephone, work from home Guides were the most senior and experienced. Recently, Disney has let go Guides who weren't meeting quotas and they started hiring entry level, lower paid licensed Guides to work from home in various States.
