How do you add the trip countdown and pictures under your post?

I am new and wondering how to add the trip countdown and pictures to your posts?

For pictures to appear in your signature or in a post, you have to post them to a photo sharing website like Photobucket before you can post them on the DIS. It's really easy to do.

It's really easy to do both.


To get a ticker, go to www.magicalkingdoms.com and look for the create a counterdown link. Follow the easy to follow instructions, copy the link after the ticker is made and then come back to these boards. Log in on the disboards and click on User CP which is about two inches down on the left side of the page. Once you are on the User CP page, click Edit Signature. Paste the ticker link and click on Save Signature. Your ticker should appear.


Now, to post pictures, you need to download your pictures to your computer. Go to www.photobucket.com and register (free of charge) After you've registered, click on Upload on the photobucket site. Once all of your pictures are uploaded to photobucket, click on Album on their site. Under each of your pictures, you will see three links. Copy the bottom link. Come back to these boards and paste the link on the thread on which you want to post the picture. Click Submit Reply. Your picture should appear on the next page.

Yeah! You have a ticker now. If you'll look at my trip report, you'll see many pictures of our room at the CBR. We absolutely love the CBR. I have a super detailed description of the CBR somewhere. I'll find it and send it to you if you are interested. The link to my trip report is below. I hope you'll come along for a read. It was a surprise trip for our son who later yelled "You're the best parents in the whole wide world. I gotta pee!"

Hope you'll keep reading my report. We had some really funny things/mishaps happen on that trip in addition to surprising our son. It made for a really interesting vacation.

Can you tell me what to "bump" means on DIS?

When somebody just posts "bump" that means they want to bump that thread back up to the top of a page. For instance, let's say my trip report is all the way down to the bottom of the first trip report page. But, I want people to read or respond, I post "bump" and then hit submit reply. Bumping the report will move it back up to the top of the page where more people can find it.

You're welcome! I hardly ever use "bump" unless I have a question that requires several opinions. Sometimes, it's frowned upon.
