How do we work tickets on partial stays?

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but hopefully it will be moved if it can be better answered elsewhere.

We are planning a trip for DH myself and our two kids as well as my parents for January 2011. We are going to book at OKW, a two bedroom villa with lock off. My parents are planning to stay for three days or maybe four and then we would want to discontinue the lock off and keep just the villa for DH, the kids and I.

My question is if we have a package including park tickets and dining, do my parents have to take those tickets for the duration of our stay as well or because we are releasing the lock off portion back after three days can they just buy their package for three days while we have ours for seven?

It's confusing because they state clearly that all parties in the same room must have the same package, but I thought maybe the lock off changed it a bit?

If you are able to accomplish what you want to do, you will have 2 separate reservations (a 3 day and a 4 day stay). So, you will have to book separate tickets for each part of the reservation or else buy all your tickets with the first reservation and none for the 2nd.

For everyone, I would purchase the # of ticket days that your parents need with reservation #1. Then after you are there, just upgrade your family's tickets for the extra days you need. Then, book a room only reservation for the 2nd part of the trip.

If you want to do the dining plan, especially for the 2nd part of the stay, then it gets a bit more complicated, but not undoable.
