How do we get to the top of the waiting list at HR Cafe?

Everytime we've gone to the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando it's madness. Don't get me wrong. I love the madness of it all, but it seems to me that I read on these boards at one time about a way to be put at the top of the waiting list. DOes anyone know what I'm refering to or am I going nuts? We'll be going our first night in Orlando (and we'll be staying at the HRH) which will be a Monday in the beginning of February, so I really don't think it will crazy, but just in case. :D

When we were there this past summer, there was a special entrance for people staying at on-site hotels. The year before, we just went to the front door and showed our room key and got next available seating (there was a line all around the building). At any rate, your on-site hotel room key should get you "next available seating" without much of a wait.

Is this the same deal with all of the places to eat?

The onsite perk is good for all full service restaurants except Emeril's.

WHAT ABOUT THE DINING INSIDE IOA AND US?

It's good at the following:

USF: Lombard's Landing
IOA: Mythos, Confscio's Grille

The one sure fire way to get to the head of the line at the Hard Rock Cafe is to go to their website and sign up/purchase the All Access card. This will even get you ahead of the onsite hotel guests, no matter how long the wait is at the time. :D

It's about $30 a year, they send you a Hard Rock beanie bear, a ball cap, a pin, and various other things. They also put a (if I remember correctly) a $10 credit on the card, and they will add $10 to it on your birthday. For every $200 you spend for food and/or merchandise, they add more credit.

If you like to eat at the Hard Rock while visiting Universal as much as we do, then it is definately worth the investment.

You think some people who don't know about "Express Passes" get upset when you pass them in line, just wait for the reactions on a busy Friday or Saturday evening from those in line at the Hard Rock Cafe when you walk up to the outside podium, flash your All Access Card and are immediately walked inside for the next available table!! They even have a special little carpeted area for you to stand and bask in all your specialness. :p

I just checked my $$, and it's $24.95 for the membership (not $30) and you get a $20 initial credit (not $10).

So basically, for $4.95, you get first available, preferred seating.

If there's just two in your party, you might try sitting at the bar. There is often little or no wait and they serve the full menu there. I often do this when I'm on my own.

It's a bit cramped but the bar is a great vantage point for soaking up that HR atmosphere.

Is there a website where the restaurants are listed for the on-site perk?
