How do we get from Epcot to AK?

Ok, as someone who has been to disney 13 times I feel really silly asking this! However on some trips we don't park hop and on the trips where we do park hop we always go back to our hotel for a nap or swim then go on to the 2nd park from there.

So if we are in epcot for the morning and want to go to AK in the afternoon how do we do that? I am going to be traveling with my somewhat older parents and my mom has some mobility issues so what would be the easiest and fastest way to do this?

There are direct buses between Epcot and AK (as long as both parks are open or within an hour of closing time).

There are busses that go between each of the parks. MK being the main exception in that you have to go to the TTC first and Epcot to MGM where you can take a boat if you want to.

Where are the park-to-park buses? We've only ever seen corrals for resort buses.

I thought you had to take the monorail to the TTC from EPCOT to go to other parks as well. :confused3

Nope.

There are Park-to-Park direct buses from all parks (except that the MK Park-to-Park buses terminate at the TTC).

They are in the same "corral" area as the Resort buses (except at MK, where the Park-to-Park buses terminate at TTC).

Just look at the listing for the buses at Epcot, MGM, DAK and TTC.
The Park bus queue numbers are posted.

So can you tell me if this would be a good idea or not?

As I said my Mom has mobility issues we are debating about a wheelchair not sure yes.
However I was wondering that if we go and see Epcot in the morning and then find ourselves ready to leave but in World Showcase by this time could we take the boat to one of the Epcot resorts and then catch an Animal Kingdom bus from there instead of going all the way to the front of Epcot? I thought this would also be a chance to show her the Epcot resorts area!

That would work, you can catch the Friendship boat at the Int'l Gateway between U.K. and France, and stop at either the Yacht Club/Beach Club, Boardwalk, or Swan/Dolphin. Of those, I think Boardwalk is the neatest to walk around - there's actually stuff to do other than admire architecture. You can then catch a bus from Boardwalk to AK. Boardwalk will either be the first or second stop after you leave Epcot (I can't remember the order the boats dock).
