I know that we can have Stitch & Mickey call to wake us up but how does it work?

Does it happen automatically if we ask for a wakeup call or do we have to do something specific to get a character?::MickeyMo :stitch2:

Hey there,
the phone in your hotel room should have a wake up call button. Just follow the prompts and you're all set! By the way, my kids still talk about the wake up calls. They are great fun.

If you are staying on property (except Swan/Dolphin), then when you call from your resort phone for your wake-up call it will automatically be one with characters. Some resorts have a button on the phone designated for wake-up calls and you are put through to an automated system to set up the call, while at other resorts you need to call guest services to set up your wake-up call. Currently it seems that the wake-up calls are a combo of Stitch and Mickey, although many people (myself included) are getting a little tired of waking up to Stitch and want Mickey back by himself. ::MickeyMo

In Sept 2007, we were staying at ASMo and I used the button on the phone to get the wake up call for 7:00am. DH and I woke up earlier than that so we had a head start to the day. At 7, we never received a call. We left the room at 7:15 and still nothing. When we returned later in the day, I had a Voice Mail. I checked it and it had date stamp of 7:19 and it was an actual cast member leaving us our wake up call. It was kind of disappointing that the wake up call was 20 minutes late, and that it wasn't from one of the characters that I was hoping for. But it's Disney, nothing can be that disappointing ;).

Thanks everyone. We have gotten wakeup calls in the past but it was never character so I wasn't sure if there was something special. I'll set it up and see what we get.

Of course this will be all for nothing if I can't get DS awake enough to answer the phone.

BTW, doing single digit dance.

Trust me. If your DS isn't awake when the wake-up call comes, he most definitely will be awake after listening to that annoying Stitch scream "GOOD MORNING!" Argh. The original Mickey wake-up call was SOOOOO much better.

I use the clock radio/alarm in the room to wake us all up and schedule our wake-up call for about an hour later so I know the kids will be up. We also use the speakerphone to answer it so everyone can hear the character calling. Have a great trip!
