How do wait lists actually work? This seems weird to me.

We've been waitlisted for a one night stay at CC and one at AKV for about 6 weeks for the first week of April. I have been checking the RAT many many times a day since then and have been grabbing different reservations as they come available so I'm pretty familiar with how often availability changes.Our trip is 35 days out so I thought there would be some extra movement this weekend since its the last one before everyone's points would go into holding. I had a chat with MS on Friday about an unrelated matter and she confirmed this. Well, I have seen almost zero changes in availability this weekend. Like hit a wall......I've come to terms with our waitlist not coming through but I find this so strange.

Times around race weekends have far less movement IMO than the normal weeks. It's the Star Wars race April 5-7th and a lot of people arrive to get registration on the 4th.

Thanks. Yes, I get that but there was much more movement up until this weekend and the days I'm actually waitlisted for are March 31 and April 3.

It still could happen. People will hang onto rooms up until the very last minute that penalties will kick in. 3 or 4 years ago I had almost a full week waitlist fill at BWV - boardwalk view. It was finalized a few days after the 30 day mark.

Wow, that was a score! I actually got 3 nights in a value studio at Jambo a few days ago by stalking. I guess Ill keep stalking just in case

I would think from now thru day 31 (beforebthere will be some movement... don't give up hope yet!

I just found a 3 night Savanna view by stalking. Not my waitlist wish but an improvement over what I had. Trying to piece together this trip may be the death of me!
