How do u put pics with ur name and words? avatar

Hi every1 im new AND my name is lauren
how do u put images under ur username when u do a post and words too?
Help please!!!
What can i say im technologically challenged

Above there is a black bar that has a box that says User CP. You need to click on that. That will take you to everything like adding information to your profile(which is where you can add those words under your username. Then they have under the User CP a thing you can click on that says avatar. Click on that. You can either use one from the forum or get one of your own from your computer.
