How do they verify you are a on-site guest for EMH?

Magic Bands or KTTW cards. Checked once at the gates for AM EMH, checked at each attraction queue entrance for PM EMH.

Do they actually scan the MB at the attraction queue for PM EMH? Or do they just look for a MB?

They actually have hand-held scanners. Necessary because a lot of guests have MBs but aren't staying at an onsite resort.

For Guests staying at Shades of Green,Swan & Dolphin and Hilton @ DTD,they use their Room Card.:)

If you are a resort guest, your Magic Band is used at park entry or at the attraction. It does not actually read or show anything that "says" resort guest at this time (will in the future) but since there are no longer KTTW cards from the resort, they will know.

Now, with the coming of Magic Bands for AP & Seasonal Pass holders, it will be an "honor system" for awhile until the resort linkage gets attached to the MB. When that happens, only resort guests will be "green lighted" at the entries or at attraction entries.

A little confusing right now but will get worked out sometime in the next few months.

Ruh-roh Raggy, I sense some opportunities for wanton abuse!

I thought KTTW cards were always to be an option for MB-averse onsite guests?

I think you're confused. Scooby is over at that other Orlando park. ;)

There will be some abuse of the system for sure. KTTW card printers were removed from the resorts, exception of Shades of Green, Swan Dolphin and an off-site hotel back around the first of the year, actually they started removing them in early November but when I would work entry, it was not a real problem since only resort testing guests had MB's. Now it is a bit more of a problem. Some say they can still get a card but it would be really difficult since the resorts have not have card printers for quite some time.

I stayed at a Disney resort for 3 nights over New Years and wanted a card also instead of a MB. Couldn't get one even though the Front Desk manager was one of my previous managers for a couple of years in the business unit I work in and several of the front desk CM's I worked with 4 or 5 years ago.

Interesting. I wonder how long the resorts will go without some kind of MB alternative. Disney was pretty clear about guests not being required to get them.

Is a KTTW printed different than a key? I ask because I know we had two extra keys printed less than three weeks ago, and will need to do the same next month. We had a party split in two rooms and two people needed access to each other's room. The MBs cannot be coded to open more than one room. So they printed a key (looked exactly like old KTTW) for each room. I hope they can still do this next month. It was done at BLT, will need it next month at BWV.

I'd like to know too. In 6 weeks we are heading down with our DS and family staying in a separate studio. At times, grandma and grandpa will need to get into the other room for kid supplies or they may need to get into our room for extra food. (We are getting a grocery order and I'm sure some of the milk and juice will be in our fridge).
