How do these rides compare for scariness?!

Crush's Coaster, the Indiana Jones one, and the Rock & Roller Coaster - have never done these and wondering if I could. I love Big Thunder Mountain but hate Space Mountain... how do these compare to BTM and SM?

RnR coaster is similar to SM2 but a lot smoother. I went on Indiana Jones when it went backwards and it was ok but my head got bashed a lot. Crush's coaster is quite fast apparently (haven't had a chance to go on it) but it doesn't go upside down.

Crushes Coaster is smooth enough to start with, but the large dark bit towards the end has a very big drop on it, and if you're sitting backwards in the car - it can be uncomfortable for those who aren't keen coaster fans.

Crushes coaster is good...abit fast in the dark bit but do-able!...RnR coaster in my mind is scarier...on the same wave length as space mountain....Indiana jones is abit of a pimped up BTM:thumbsup2

I'd rank them as follows, from least-most scary

BTM
Indy
Crush
R&RC
Space Mountain

I put SM last because its so rattly and boneshaky now that I've gone right off it, I find it very scary simply because it makes me feel rough. Very rough. Headachey and bleugh.

Since R&RC opened that is in my opinion the 'best' coaster. Very smooth, excellent theming, great track, love the music. Yes, its perhaps frightening to watch, but its less scary once you're actually on it.

Crush is fantastic, the spinning is a bit disorienting but very very good fun.

Indy - a 'pimped up BTM' - the best description I've ever seen. Not scary, not really, one loop and one major drop, just close your eyes and then its over!

Our rule - ride it once, even if you hate it ride it again, then after that if you still hate it then you dont' have to ride it.

I did this with Indy when it went backwards - I had to lie on the floor and hold on afterwards, to the extent that a CM came to see if I was alright. It messed with my head going backwards, so I never rode that one again all the while it went backwards. Now it goes forwards I love it!

ETA: BTM remains my absolute favourite. Well perhaps that and ToT.

What is the reason to why you don't like Space Mountain? Is it because:
1. It's too jerky?
2. The beginning launch is too intense?
3. It goes upside down?

I've never been on it myself, but will tomorrow, but I am very scared because I had a previous experience with a launch rollercoaster, and I blacked out for 3 seconds after (the ride was Rita at Alton Towers), but apparently Space Mountain's and R&RC's launch arn't as intense.

I think it'll be ok, it was made to be fun not terrifying.

Don't get me wrong, I used to love SM, but now i think there are better rides which I would prefer to spend my time on.

I don't mind the launch, its scary the first time but that's only anticipation and not knowing. The second time round you know what's coming, and its fine. Fun.

I don't mind AT ALL that it goes upside down, that's the best bit! G force holds you in your seat and the harness is VERY secure, so don't worry about that.

No, what I don't like is a) the track needs some serious maintenance and I find it just too rattly and bumpy for my liking, and b) I just don't like SM:M2.

Bring back the old version. Far better!

Please don't let this put you off. It is, after all, just a personal viewpoint.

just read this with interest i have only been on sm once and i never even noticed it went upside down. when does it do that, i personally didnt like it as i kept hitting my head on the sides of the seat quite hard really

i would try it once and see how you feel

best wishes

my hubby and son love cc but I don't do the whole going backwards thing, I'd vomit :upsidedow

I really love coasters, the scarier the better, sadly I don't think I'm going to be able to go on many of the thrill rides as its just me and DD6 on this trip. She also loves the thrill rides but it seems that the height restrictions are stricter in DLP than in WDW. She went on space mountain (WDW) about 8 times last year at the tender age of 5, but from what I've read space mountain at DLP says you cannot ride unless you are 10. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Space Mountain in DLP is much more of a rollercoaster than the versions in WDW and DL - it goes upside down so has a 'taller' height restriction.
