how do these credits work?

Hi, everyone. This is my first time on the DDP...Basic. I have made ADR's and I see that my kids have significantly less USED TS's than myself and DH. Question is, if we sit down to a TS and the adults have run out but the two DD's still have TS's to use, can the grown-ups just pay OOP while the kids use up the TS credits? Or can the grown-up use the extra TS's and we pay for the kiddies OOP?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Kids' (age 3-9) TS credit are not interchangeable w/ adult TS credits. Kids TS credits can only be used to pay for meals off of the kid's menu. So if you have extra kids TS credits, yes the adults would have to pay OOP for their meals. If your kids are 10+, then you may use their credits, as they are Disney-adults. HTH!

You would have to pay OOP for your meals but could use the kids' TS for their meals. In fact, you can do that at any meal you'd like. So if you are doing character buffets a couple of times a day, it is in your best interest (money-wise) to use the kids' TS on those meals (as they're more than the daily fee even for breakfast) and pay OOP for your meals (not a good value, typically for an adult meal) and then pay OOP for later meals for your kids at nicer restaurants where most kids' meals are in the $8 range. HTH.

You should all start out with the same amount of TS, CS and SC. I take it that you and DH are going to a dinner or 2 with out the 2 DD. You would have to pay for the adult TS OOP and your DD's use the DDP TS as others have stated above.
