How do the theme nights & dinner rotation work?

We'll be on the Magic 7 night cruise, Eastern Itinerary.
The theme nights appear to be specifically assigned to an evening, like Formal night is usually Sunday, Tropical night is Tuesday, semi-formal is Thursday.
Our dinner rotation will also have an impact on our dress, however, because we're supposed to dress up for Lumiere's, correct? So does that mean that depending on our rotation, we might be really getting dressed up as many as four times? (Lumiere's on Sat, formal night on Sun, semi-formal on Thursday, and Lumiere's again on Friday). Since we could be in Lumiere's on Tuesday also, would that require a "dressier" tropical outfit?

Or am I entirely not understanding how this works? Just sign me "Easily Confused"

You do not have to dress up "more" for Lumiere's....whatever you would wear to any of the other restaurants would also be suitable for Lumiere's....

On Tropical night...even if you are in Lumiere's...you would just wear tropical...not fancy tropical.

And if you are in Parrot Cay on Formal night you would still dress formal not casual.

So, no matter what restaurant on the rotation you are in...you dress for the theme night, not really the restaurant.

In 10 DCL cruises we have been lucky to have Formal night in Lumiere's and tropical night in Parrot Cay on several of the cruises and on the other cruises we were in different restaurants on Formal, Semi, and Tropical....it really does not make any difference what restaurant you are in on what night....everyone gets into the theme and has a great time.
